Like she had a choice. Maybe if he'd been clearheaded and able to help, but she couldn't risk him. Mikel wasn't stupid enough to let real harm come to Jason. Not out of any obligation to her, but a favor only got him so far when he was dealing with a killer's little brother.
At least, she was putting a lot of hope into that idea. Surely Mikel had done his research on Jacob Landon.
"You rest," she repeated. "I'll be back before you know it and we'll blow this place up."
