"I swear by all that's holy he won't see another year alive," Sammy said, swearing audibly. She didn't look at Jake, but she felt the solid weight of the weapon tucked into her back waistband. Mikel hadn't thought to have her disarmed. He was playing the game far too loosely, as if he had control of SHIELD now.
Then the door opened. She almost made a run for it to find Jason herself when he was dragged in.
"Jason!" She was at his side as fast as she could move. She knelt by the chair to peer into his eyes, brushing his hair out of his face to get a better look. "Are you all right?"
