Ministry of Magic

The M.A.G.I.C. Act
The Muggleborn Assurance Guaranty Impliciting Conservation

In order to ensure the safety of our muggleborn population, the Ministry of Magic has developed a new set of rules and regulations that shall be implemented into everyday society to prevent further targeting of muggleborn wizards.

Muggleborn wizards and witches will be required to wear a tattoo on their hand to allow the Ministry/vendors immediate knowledge as to the type of protection they will have to maintain while in the presence of muggleborns.

Specific jobs will be limited to pure and halfblood wizards and witches, until the job site is proven secure for muggleborns. Compensation will be paid by the ministry for six months. If the job is not deemed safe, the muggleborn wizard or witch in question will be asked to find a safer environment to seek employment.

These jobs include, but are not limited to:
Ministry positions
Healers
Quidditch Players
WWN Personalities
Influential Entertainers

Wizards and witches can go to the Public Relations Department of the Ministry to find out if their job is to be suspended for the time being. Halfbloods will be suspended from their positions until they are able to prove their blood status at their given appointment.

Diagon Alley, Hogsmeade, and other wizarding world affiliated vendors and businesses will be allowed to decide whether or not they wish to continue employing muggleborns and halfbloods until the safety precautions have lifted.

If these entrepreneurs choose to continue to employ these citizens, a charge of 9533 galleons, 4 sickles, and 15 knuts will be made to ensure the safety of those employees.

The Board of Governs of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry has decided to implement some of the new Ministry rulings, affective September 1st. Hogwarts students of muggleborn descent will be required to attend class in a safe environment separated from the pure and halfblood students.

All wizards and witches will be required to carry an identification card that contains their full name, address, date of birth, blood status, and identification number. This must be on hand at all times as there will be random security checks to ensure safety regulations are being upheld. A penalty will be fined if you are found without your identification card.

[OOC: All comments pertaining to this act go to this post, just like it was with the McKinnon murders. Have fun! :D? ]

So they're supposed to hide and cower from the big bad death eaters? No way, that doesn't make any bloody sense! There are more than enough people against You-Know-Who and more than enough people who are willing to fight him that we can live without fear!

Our government isn't supposed to be scaring us! It's not supposed to let these terrorists get their way!

The Ministry is very, very wrong, I agree. I'm thoroughly outraged that they think this is any way to handle the matter, however, my job department is disciplining those who violate the governing laws of magical use and protecting any exposure of our world to the Muggle world.

If the people discriminated against in this act resort to violating these statues and breaking laws regarding magic use that have been in place for centuries, who does it help? Who benefits from such acting?

If it makes a statement, I should think it would fall upon deaf ears, because the Ministry will do nothing but punish those who break laws like these so blatantly.

WHY DO YOU HAVE TO MAKE SENSE--- There are plenty of ways to rebel without breaking the law.
