Elevator Meme
A simple shopping-center elevator. Because of course they kept the perfect stuff for split-end prevention in a little shop on the third floor, and he already was carrying stuff.

So was the other person who got on, who was... "Dear deities-of-choice, I love your hair."

"Oh, definitely. You don't want to push it it into the wrong territory, especially one that alienates some potential customers."

The back of his hand starts to unconsciously go to his cheek. "So... what would you put her Pocket Sized Jungle Lord in, given the option?"

"The red and blue might be classic, I guess, but I think he's really missing an opportunity. With the whole jungle thing, you could so some great things with green and some splashes of bright colors, in moderation."

"Hmmm. I could see it. Hard to fight tradition, though."

"There is that, but you could do a belt in classic colors, or highlight the logo and do it in red and blue lines to add some contrast and tradition without being the same Atom. So, what would you do with it?"

"Well, I don't know much about the specifics of the jungle heritage besides rumor--" Joey wasn't as well-informed about the dudes of the superhuman community. Couldn't think why. "But something about the way he moves when he fights, it almost makes it seem like he's unused to too much clothes in situations like that. I'd almost figure a minimalist approach for maximum movement, shift the blue to more of a navy..."

"I don't think Din has the traditional build for a total minimalist approach, but I can see the Navy. Besides, it would distract his girlfriend more than the bad guys. But maybe go with something kind of light for easy movement, and then a minimalist overlayer with darker colors like the navy or darker greens in more durable fabric so it doesn't slow him down, but will stand up to super heroing?"

"Hmm. Yeah, I can see that working really well. Usually, when you say 'overlayer,' people assume you're about to break the Mode Rule, but they're ignoring all kinds of options that aren't a human peacock tail -- 'cause I don't think the guy's right for the Zorro corollary either."

"He likes to be prepared for things, so his outfit needs to support pockets. You could have a really light uniform, then a belt, overlaid loincloth look, bandoliers... give it some durability and support for pockets without weighing him down or being too heavy."

GK's listening and nodding with a smile. "Exactly. A utilitarian streak, sort of."

"See?! You get it. That's it exactly. With the right colors and patterns, you could get it feeling totally jungle, while still being a little protective, complementary and modern."
