What does age matter if you qualify for the job? It's discrimination.

It can, but it can't. Have you been denied something because of your age, Sasuke?

More like someone thinks I don't have what it takes for a certain position. But age was mentioned.

There are certain positions that require experience to perform to the best and beyond of the position's required abilities. It doesn't necessarily mean that someone doesn't trust your willingness, or ability. Depending on the position you are searching for, it may require many different factors you are not educated in.

If you wish to prove them otherwise, find a position that allows you to show your abilities and skills instead of petitioning other people to prove your point irrationally.

I don't know what would show off ... those. Except porn.

If you do not know how, then you are not fully prepared for the position you desire. There is still much for you to learn.

How else do I learn other than application? And don't say school.

Application also requires failure, if the position you want is high, as I'm assuming it is because of your disgruntlement at being denied, minor failure is excusable. Major is not. It is only common sense then that someone with past experience in the matter is more acceptable then someone without.

What exactly are you striving for?

Management.

An office job of higher rankings is a very large step up from your previous work. I suggest working at a lower position that allows you to get use to an office setting and learn the workings of a company.

Why would it be?

You still have to take orders, like everyone else. Even more, you get people bitching at you to do things for them all day.

I think you're missing the point, or you are not explaining your reasoning.

A person employed to handle correspondence and do routine work in a business office, usually involving taking dictation, typing, filing, and the like.

Isn't that what you do?

Did you not also take orders, work under people? I find it more degrading to allow someone do pay you to do what they want to you. I get paid to do work for people, and transfer bitching to other offices, however, the difference between our jobs is that I am far more closer to being Management then you are in your current position.

Your pride is ill placed, Sasuke. I think you are looking at the situation the wrong way.

Of course it's degrading. Which is why I don't want to be in that position again, or anything even remotely close to it. The only way to ever be sure I never become someone's tool again, is to be above everyone else. That's what I want.

(Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Sasuke, it is human nature to want that. Unfortunately not even a god is free of being a tool. With the advances society has made: the media, the government and commercial, no one is free from being used by someone else. If you acquire this position you want, you will still be a tool of the three I just mentioned in your work and you will be disappointed. What you need to strive for instead, is how you're being used and don't let it control your life. There is more to life then this business, Sasuke. It is a difficult idea to grasp for you because your life did revolve around your work before.

What you want is assurance and comfort, not the actual position. If you pause in your demands to think on it, you've already been freed of those demands. You should thank him instead of work against him.

I don't know what else there is. I never thought about anything else before, because it wasn't an option. And now that I can choose what I want -- within reason -- I don't know what I want. Most people wouldn't get it, they've always been free to choose. So maybe if I become independent ... really independent, even of him, I'll be content. I can't expect someone to take care of me my whole life. I've got to change that part of myself.

lol sorry missed a word thar

And you expect to become independent by taking on a job that has very high expectations and risk getting fired for poor experience and once again rely on someone else to take care of you?

You're talking as if I actually expected him to give it to me. I'm not an idiot, you know. And neither is he though he may act like it sometimes.

I was picking at him, to see if he'd consider letting me work my way up.

Your intent demanding and immature nature of your question says otherwise. I'm aware that Madara is not a fool. I would not bother here if he was.

Many children think so. However, whining and complaining is really the best way to get a pat on the head and laughed at.
