What do you think is too serious to joke about?

Alright, so I decided I'm going to start doing these every day.  I hardly ever post, and it will definately boost that.  So yes onto the question.

What is too serious to joke about?  I truthfully think that there is very little you can't joke about, and given the right time and setting nothing is too serious.  I mean, if you go into a room of people you barely know, you are not going to go up to a person and throw out black jokes and gay jokes.  No, you make little jabs at the weather, or you know stuff like that.  Okay maybe not the weather, but you know what I mean.  If you know what certain people are sensitive to then you can avoid the akward thoughts of "Oh shit, was that too serious for this person....maybe I shouldn't have said that."  So maybe it isn't a matter of whats to serious to joke about, but what some people can handle, and their personal opinions on certain subjects.  I know black people who are ok with black jokes, and I know gays who are okay with gay jokes.  It really just depends on the people, given the right environment, rape can be funny, but it's not like you ever really mean it.  If you mean it, then it's obviously not funny.  But you have to make sure that the context you're using said jokes in is the correct one, because truthfully, I wouldn't want to get my ass kicked because I told an off color joke that someone couldn't handle.
