Meme response--- Hajime and Kayura
Kayura is taking a call in her office. The door is wide open so it would be easy for anyone to over hear her as she is talking.

"Three of them, you say? Well that shouldn't be a problem," she said calmly. "I have seen more. Now how old is the property?"

She writes something down.

"Well I'll take care of it over the weekend. I have a few days off this weekend and I can conduct my research there. It's just three spirits. It shouldn't be a problem. Like I said."

She pauses and listens almost laughing. "Seriously? Aa. It sounds like they have a sense of humor then as far as spirits go. I'll be careful."

It looked like she was going to have a very busy weekend. Kayura said her goodbyes to her friend hanging up the phone and looked quite thoughtful as well as a touch amused. Prankster spirits? That sounds different than violent ones or confused ones.

A nice change of pace.

	And inside the hotel there is a loud shout of outrage. Kayura is angry as hell. Someone will pay for this. She is no one's plaything and she is tired of being jerked around. Not that she can do much right now. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The private bathroom door is wide open. The tub is filled with boiling... oil? No, just oddly colored water. Kayura is hanging upside down looking very cross. There is a kitsune very busy laughing right up until it notices Hajime. It makes a surprised sound then it retreats quickly not wanting to get caught just yet. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

That is a very, very interesting view of Kayura... and within this room, almost in context, even. Almost. Somehow, even with her held captive, it bothers him a bit less now.

And, without being able to get to her easily without ending up in boiling water, he formulates a new plan.

He takes out some of the supplies they brought, and sets out three small bowls of sweet rice, and then tiny cups of sake, setting them out in invitation.

"I do not believe you are ghosts, nor would you wish to do her true harm, or you would have. Please, come join me for a meal and show proper etiquette, and we can discuss what you do want."

"No but we had to keep your attention somehow," comes a more respectful voice. This kitsune chooses to appear as a very old woman.

"How else could we get you to talk with us?" And someone with manners too! How nice. They really couldn't say no.

A second kitsune joins them looking much younger.

"Our third is just making sure your friend doesn't come to harm," the younger says in a level tone.

"True but some people forget the way things were. We had to be sure," the younger looking of the three kitsune admitted.

The oldest looking of them nods. "We make our home just past the southern wall. We wanted to make a few requests of the people who will be running this hotel. You see while there is nothing wrong with what they are doing we would just like a... few places where we can easily watch the hotel. Frankly, we've been bored for a very long time. Watching mortals relax and have fun is even better than that thing you call television. At our ages you have to take what you can get."

Hajime nods. "It is true many of the old ways have been forgotten. I believe that we can likely talk to the owners of this place for you... in fact, I believe we can come to an arrangement that will benefit both you and the hotel... for this trouble and our agreement to speak to them to have resting and watching places for you, may I ask three favors, one from each of you? If so... I think I can help you."

He nods. He could ask them not to mess with Kayura... but that's a hard one to follow, especially as she sometimes has the blessings of some of the fae too in her work, so he lets that one go.

"First, you... he points to the youngest one, within the cracks in the tile there, cause a flower to bloom that will never wilt or die, if it is tended. You are young, and it is a blessing of new spring for this place."

The eldest gets gestured to next. "This bath... change it from a filtered water with pipes and pumps to a natural hot spring. The hotel will prosper with such a gift, because blessed waters are things of age, wisdom and rest."

Finally, he glances to the silent one. "And finally, while embarrassment is one of the gifts given to fae over mortals, your pranks have done her an injury. Therefore, you in turn must grant a boon embarrassing yourself, and making up for the injury done. On behalf of your fellows and the tree, you must apologize to Kayura-chan's bottom, and invite her to be the first to try the new hot spring to help heal her pride and mark both.

With these three boons, you will have made up for deeds done, and I can convince the hotel owner that his hotel is blessed by the spirits... he will prosper, and be more inclined to build you places of your own."

The young one smiles widely then looks to his siblings. The old one thinks it is a good deal then they both turn their gazes to their silent brother.

He seems to think this over then comes to a decision as he claps both hands together and nods. They would never make a deal if they were not all of the same mind.

"We are agreed," the eldest looking of the three says. "Our brother shall help Kayyura-chan down. She is after all, a young lady. She shouldn't have to climb down on her own."

And so the youngest looking of the three goes and encourages a very lovely looking plant to grow. It takes some gently prodding but it starts to bloom. "By tomorrow it will be as you wish it to. The roots must settle over night otherwise how could it remain strong and healthy?"

The eldest waits for Kayura to get helped down because having someone hanging upside down while she is working can be most troublesome. Once that is done she gets right to work. The magic at work is obvious and there are subtle changes to the large tub so that it can accommodate climbing in and out of it more easily. Then comes changing the pipes so that they do what is intended.

"That is done."

The third of them clears his throat then gets down on both knees. "On behalf of my siblings and myself, we are very sorry for spanking your bottom so harshly Kayura-chan's bottom. We didn't want to hurt you. We just wanted to get everyone to pay attention. I hope you don't hold this against us. "

Kayura accepts the apology with a faint smile. The kitsune seemed very honest about being sorry. "Would you like to relax in the hot spring? If I know my elder sister she has done exactly as asked."

Hajime will also notice that while the kitsune has kept Kayura's attention her clothing as been returned and is folded neatly and resting on a counter by the sink. At least she won't have to ask for that back.

"That would be nice," Kayura said not yet noticing her clothes are at least in the room. The kitsune is very pleased though and goes back to his usual quite manner helping Kayura into the large tub.

At this point Kayura might not notice. She is a bit sore and a little tired from this afternoon's adventure.

She is also setting her glasses aside when she finally notices Hajime is undressing to join her. She almost asks what he is doing but she gets distracted just for a moment. He really is handsome in a way but she shouldn't look or notice.

Instead she readjusts her hair so it won't get wet. She doesn't need to wash it today. That will be tomorrow after their hike around the lake. She doesn't intend to go home smelling off.

In turn, now that its for a bath, he thinks nothing of it. Things are in proper context now. He finishes undressing, sliding into the water once she's set, since she was invited to enter first.

And, admittedly, some of the free show over the course of the day which he's been carefully 'not noticing' might have a little effect, but minus her glasses, he can hope she's not going to notice that indiscretion.

	Thankfully for him her vision gets fuzzy after a certain point. He is just past the point where Kayura would need to squint to see. Besides she wouldn't openly stare at him. There is, of course, the point where he really doesn't care if she sees him or not. Nudity isn't the problem, either way, really. Its when its out of context that an issue begins.

The bigger issue, of course, is a matter of politeness. She has been shamed during the course of a job. She was made naked out of context for an extended period, put on display, and assaulted by the vegetation. Very embarassing.

As such, there is only one correct response.

"What tree spanking?"

"You did a very impressive job clearing the haunting, and when you take credit for that, you should inform your friend that some fae have chosen to bless his inn, as evidenced by the hot spring and this flower... and he should make sure they are comfortable.
