It was good work, for now. Until her sweet master returned, well, now that she'd learned where the points were that the band should never do without, she dug in like a very stylish terrier with the venues and wouldn't let go of those points. She expanded their areas of performance, got some wider distribution for their CDs, played hostess for crew parties, and yet somehow DJ's apartment was usually spotless when she met him at the door, desperate for his touch.

Minnie had never been much of a slacker.

He gets dressed for the night, donning a Black Flag t-shirt and torn jeans, plus a bandanna to help keep the sweat out of his eyes. It takes a bit, since he has to watch her dress - its almost as sexy as watching her undress.

"Good, we can take care of that." he replies, before heading for Mary's Cafe, a proper little dive, featuring the Monster Burger. It says so right out front on a sign.

	"Direct, and very honest." he agrees, heading in, and ordering two monster burgers for them, which turns out to be a 3/4 pound burger, plus bacon, mushrooms, various vegetable matter typical of burgers plus peppers, three kinds of cheese, and the special house sauce, plus half a pound of fries. 	DJ likewise digs in hungrily. There's no way to eat it cleanly, but that is, indeed, what fries are for - these being good, thick steak fries. "I love coming in here after a show, if we're not doing some kind of sit down with anyone or after party." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

I like it after shows, because I'm always ravenous, and just want to focus on food for a while. Most of the time, I grab fast food burgers and take them back, but since you wanted burgers, I figured I'd take you to the best spot this side of Big Nick's."

	He mostly doesn't bother cleaning up too much while eating. He's just going to get messy again, and the burger is a real handful. "Big Nick's is more of a drive, but worth it. We'll go there some other time." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"That's easy to fix. Next day off, we'll go down there for lunch. I can barely imagine though... mom was always pulling late nights, researching, poring over papers. And cooking was always somebody's job, and if we went out, it was for Italian or French. Not that I don't love Italian and French but there's a whole world out there." 	The burger place was halfway to the club he's DJing at that night, making for a fairly short drive. The talk with the manager doesn't take long, and he has no trouble getting her in. He heads for the main table to set up, and get his playlist in order. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

And Minnie, at first, is still gauging the crowd, and then soon she's out on the floor, just getting warmed up, and getting noticed dancing. She dances closely with others a little more easily than previous occasions, just experimentally.

And then she spots someone. She's dressed pretty similar to a lot of the girls at the place, but she's got a rather atypically stately, butter-wouldn't-melt sort of look to her.

Minnie's always admitted that she's picky on the subject. And the figuring out, the delving in and ascertaining if something'll work, is all part of the process. The music's going and the place is just about getting started by now, as Minnie gets her eyes set on the admittedly slightly taller woman and starts strutting toward her -- with admittedly a few detours to literally dance rings around some of the people between her and her target. By the time she's closer, the other girl's seen enough to be intrigued, and when Minnie approaches, there's some willing contact. Very willing, apparently, as Minnie reaches to set her hand at the girls side and caress down as she drops to a bit of a crouch in her movement to the rhythm, then rises, caressing back up.
