The Big Suck
Well, band practice sucked straight bullshit tonight.

First time doing practice again for over amonth and Tabby makes us 2 hours late, has a bad attitude the entire time, refuses to play 95% of what we were playing and was a complete bitch to the lead guitarist. He messed up while playing drums once and she got on his nuts and he apologized for it but she went on and on and on and made it really uncomfortable for us to play on. They started yelling at eachother and I thought he was going to drop his shit and punch her in the face. He walked out on us 3 times to cool off.

She ruined the mood, and ruined practice. As long as she is in the band being a bitch and always needing her way, we will not get anywhere. Tonight was an ultimate failure. I am now going to go out to Lucky's, Hardtime's and who knows where else to get shit faced.

Dueces.

Band practice is rough. Trust me, if there's one person that sucks the life out of the band, you need to replace them or they'll be your downfall. My band has over 5 ex members, but now we're fully functional and we're probably playing the winter music conference in miami.

Chemistry comes before anything in music, because it takes 20 minutes to write a song with a tightly knit group and it takes forever when someone's antagonizing and not giving a shit.

Think about it this way, if you wouldnt be able to live in a van with a member for 4-6 weeks, then they probably arent right for you.

Its kind of like Norma Jean and The Chariot. Norma Jean had a singer who just clashed, even though he was the frontman. They kicked him out and he started the chariot and toured with Norma Jean.

Same with Underoath and Maylene.

If the whole band sees one vision, and the frontman sees another, majority rules. Especially when a band is first starting to define a style and write.
