Even though Hunter had been poking Candice all week about not making her team and Candice had given her just as much shit back, she was a little disappointed her dastardly duo wouldn't be working with her. Though, she had been quite pleased with her team. She was sure the two Quirank students would be exceptionally helpful not to mention Kiera and Simón. The team figured they would each be responsible for two students and they would figure that out when they needed to, no need to be too planned out.

As they met with their students, Candice was sure to check each one of them out, having two of her own house students was reassuring and daunting at the same time. She knew how her house was quite infamous for just diving into things. "Alright, listen up ladies and gentlemen, we're going to be taking the Southern loop. We'll start here and make our way south west toward the houses. We'll walk to the woods behind Quirank and comb as far back as a few miles and work our way south toward the other houses. We'll check the perimeter of the parking lots near the school's housing and then do a run through of Black Bear Road. Another group is checking behind the Black Bear community and we're checking the actual community. Now don't go peeking in any windows," she said specifically looking at Sim with a big grin.

"Make sure ya stick together," Kiera added. "We don't need anyone runnin' off on their own. If ya see something just point it out as quickly as possible. There's a chance that it might be too dangerous to give chase and if it is, we'll have to just call in the aurors."

"If we are to use any sort of spells they will only be disarming spells or protective spells. We are not to hurt anyone or anything," Simón said carefully. "Disarm," he repeated. He had all of these kids in Defense Against the Dark Arts at one point or another and knew that they could get carried away sometimes in the heat of a duel or a simple disarming match. "Does anyone have any questions?"

It was the last dance of the calendar year and the last chance to have a great bash, it was the last chance to impress. The social events committee, with the help of the staff, had decorated King's Hall to be a winter wonderland. They charmed giant, fluffy flakes to fall from the ceiling, the walls seemed almost iced over, and jovial holiday music played overhead as if were coming down from the ceiling with the snow flakes.

A snack and drink table was set up in the back, blue and silver table clothes lining the long tables and silver chairs set up around the whole hall. There was a giant light up evergreen tree at the back of the room with decorations that students from the past had given to the school and there were several menorahs set up and lit around the room. The staff were dressed in their holiday best and prowling the dance for drunk kids and boys and girls who were dancing to close but generally there was a feeling of merriment, joy, and excitement over the holidays.

Theoretically speaking, since she had been so early to rise the day before, Tatum's plan was to sleep in on actual Thanksgiving. It was a valiant idea, but Madeline had other ideas. She was pretty sure the sun had just coming out as her step-mother came into her room, pulling the blankets off of her to wake her up and get her moving. When she begrudgingly arrived downstairs, the redhead hadn't been shocked to see that her sister was already up. Hell, it looked like she and their mother had even already had breakfast. How early did these two rise exactly?

Fixing herself a coffee rather than a meal, it was hard to gag down breakfast without a joint first, Tatum had nestled into a chair at the kitchen table and had just waited for instruction. Hours passed and it was nearing noon now, and she had been peeling potatoes and carrots for nearly two hours. Before that, it had been doing the dishes and driving to the store to get bread for Madeline to make stuffing.

She was pretty excited for the meal later, even if finding a way to fit a spliff in would be hard with a mother asking for help at every corner. She was starting to grow a little weary of helping out anyway, her fingers were going to stay orange forever if she didn't give peeling carrots a rest.

When the turkey was finally in the oven, and all of the other bits and pieces of dinner were peeled and chopped and good to go, Madeline finally seemed ready to ease up. She watched Tatum dejectedly slicing up her last carrot, and came up behind her, giving her daughter's shoulder a little squeeze. "Why don't you go get your brother? I want him to get started on the pies," she suggested.

Tatum had no idea why her mother always made Rath made three pies, for just the five of them, but it usually worked out in her favor. They usually got to take one back to school, so there was no complaining from her. "Yeah sure," she agreed, moving over and dropping her peeler and knife into the soapy dishwater in the sink. Ascending the stairs two at a time, she pounded on Rath's bedroom door before letting herself in.

The staff had been planning for homecoming all week along with the students and the events committee. With the themed days leading up to the dance along with the game, everyone on campus was revved up and ready to go. King's Hall had been decorated to the nines, keeping to the schools blue color theme. When the game was over, and Appalachia house walked off the fields champions of the homecoming game, one of the large center banners turned turquoise and silver with a wolf mascot in the center to celebrate the team's victory.

By seven the music was playing and the ball room was filling with students and staff. There were several tables lined up against the walls with snacks and drinks. There were balloons and colored bubbles falling from the ceiling and streamers flying through the air. The entire thing was exceptionally festive and Blue Ridge was prepared to celebrate it's homecoming.

Content: Hunter might be turning into a dad, but she still probably couldn't stop throwing parties unless she died, so she decided to do Halloween right! One big night of mischief and debauchery is much anticipated.

Hunter didn't usually put a whole entire ton of thought into throwing a party. It was one of the things that came naturally, she could usually just make it all come together, even at the last minute. She considered it a gift of sorts, but perhaps it was just that as long as they had booze and or privacy, almost any crowd of teenagers would be appeased. Whatever the case, Halloween was turning out awesome.

She had been limited her own drinking a bit, something Sera had suggested she try slowly at first so she didn't drop dead or something, but there was plenty to drink and more. She seen to that earlier when she had easily sweet-talked Sera into getting a few of her nerdy friends together and doing the decorating, while she dragged Mack off to help her buy supplies, returning with the back of her truck full of liquor and candy. Now with tables and everything all set up, it really did look good, very festive. She would have to ask Sera where she learned to charm things to produce fog like she had done all around the ground, it could come in handy for like.. escaping criminals or something. It looked cool, wafting everywhere around people's feet.

Wading through said enchanted fog, which was swirling about her legs up to below her knees now, the blonde ducked a bit as a firework shot through the air not too far away from it, exploding just about few feet above her head. She grinned. Just what she wanted to see, misbehavior! If someone didn't lose a finger or something tonight from blowing things up, it wouldn't be Halloween.

She just hoped it wasn't her. Dad's needed all of their digits and besides that, it had taken forever to have the other one reattached back in junior year.
