This game has relocated from GreatestJournal, where it had been since it's creation on December 5th, 2004.

This game is canon through Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Any resemblance it bears to the events of Book 6 and/or 7 were lucky guesses.

Voldemort died at the hands of Harry Potter just months after he finished Hogwarts, but does this mean the end of the war? Due to a few well-fought battles and well-planned murders, the Death Eaters attracted a few new recruits and a great many sympathizers before the Dark Lord fell. Rathed than lose the will to fight, Bellatrix Lestrange has taken the lead and begun a mission to detroy the "impurity" of the wizarding world? They've already killed Ollivander and Bill Weasley, tortured George Weasley, framed Harry for the murder of the Dursleys, and been blamed for many other unexplained deaths and disappearances.

Now almost five years out of school, Harry and his classmates must choose their futures in light of the Dark Lord's threat suddenly lifted and Lestrange's threat ever-present. What does a hero do when his enemy is gone but his minions won't stop? Now is a time for rebuilding, providing that the Death Eaters can be stifled before they gain too much power.

The wizarding world is still in its wartime chaos. The Ministry fired Cornelius Fudge after the Department of Mysteries incident and was run by the heads of the various departments acting as a committee until Amelia Bones was made Minister in game year 2001 (Real year 2008). The committee bickered often, and Amelia's background in defense is helping the war effort or at least not hindering it.

Hogwarts fares no better. With the death of Dumbledore in Harry's sixth year, McGonnagall is now Headmistress and the leader of the Order. Due to a lack of interest in the teaching field during the war, she is desperately seeking a Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher...again.

Deaths of note:
Hermione Granger- died on holiday while rockclimbing with her mum and dad over the summer before 7th year, has become a ghost to aid her friends through the war however she can.
Dumbledore- succumbed to old age at the end of Harry's 6th year.
Thomas Crabbe (father of Vincent)- died in combat for the Death Eaters early in Harry's 7th year.
Gregory Goyle- died in a mission given to him by Voldemort to prove his eligibility for future Death Eater initiation over the summer before 7th year.
The Dursleys- massacred by persons unknown at the end of Harry's 7th year, framing him for it in the process.
Voldemort- Killed by Harry the September after Harry finished school in a surprise attack orchestrated by Snape.
Severus Snape- died the October after Harry finished school in St. Mungo's due to complications that arose from being hit by multiple curses and hexes during the attack on Voldemort.
Bill Weasley- kidnapped August 1998. Death was confirmed by the Weasley clock the following March (game year 1999, real year 2006). Body found that April.
Narcissa Malfoy- killed by Bellatrix Lestrange, October 2001. Bella intended to kill Draco, but her sister got in the way of the spell.
Lucius Malfoy- killed in Azkaban April 2002 just before he was set to released. Many people are responsible for this death, including Draco's wife and Bellatrix Lestrange. Draco is unaware of the circumstances of the death.

Births of Note:
Georgina Molly Weasley- born to Fred and Hannah Weasley (formerly Abbott) on 16 March 2008 (Game Year 2001).
Jennifer Rhiannon Lupin- born to Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks on 30 December 2008 (Game Year 2001).

Notes on characters and game play:
All characters in any of the books through Order of the Phoenix or lexicon are allowed. Original characters are allowed with mod approval, but only if they are outside of Harry's year. No overly-exposed celebrities are allowed as your character pictures. There are plenty of non-famous people, B-list actors/models/musicians, and has-beens that have aged on the internet, please use them. The mod will be happy to help you look for people if you're having trouble, and all PBs must be cleared by her prior to use.

Play will take place on the journals (with the hub being for 3rd person posts and AIM logs) as well as optional AIM play. AIM is encouraged but not required and logs (or log summaries) should be posted on the hub.
