Tatum went rigid all over again, keeping her back to the other girl and continuing to stare out of the window. She wouldn't cry, even if she wanted to badly, that would just be pathetic. She wasn't going to get anywhere with tears against Bekka. If anything, it would probably piss her off more.
She felt her lip trembling slightly when Bekka asked about her girlfriend, and she found herself acting before she could stop, whirling on her heel and grabbing up her own wand from the desk, pointing it at Bekka. "It's none of your fucking business! Just leave me alone!" she roared, more anger in her tone than she thought she even had.
She felt even madder than the day she had tried to fight Mack, but she was also still on the edge of those tears. It was just another example of how split down the middle she had felt with all of this foolish.
