Summary: Casey is on his way back to his dorm and has a mess to clean up

What was one person's trash was another's treasure. It was for that reason that Casey paid regular trips to a local junkyard to see what he could salvage out of the crap other people threw away. From broken radios to busted televisions, Casey usually ended up walking away with a box full of new parts and a smile on his face.

This time he was rather unhappy with his choice of a box. The underside had not been well taped and it felt like it was about to give way any second, even as he tried to hold it closed with as much of his hand as he could. He managed to make it back on campus and was nearly to the Beauregard dormitory when the box had finally had enough. With a series of loud crashed, the bottom of the box dumped its contents onto the walkway.

Casey just looked down at the mess and swore.

Summary: It's the Sadie Hawkins dance! Ladies choice, so get out there and have some fun!

There was a subtle theme for tonight's Sadie Hawkins dance. No bright lights, or obviously themed decorations. No shaped confetti or strange creatures wandering around dressed in costumes. No costumes were in evidence at all, in fact. There was nothing cheesy or funny or overdone or bright or overt about the hall for tonight's dance.

Instead, tonight, there was soft lighting in places (though not too soft. The chaperones made sure of that), blue and soft gold table decorations and centerpieces, and a dance floor with charmed candles high above to provide light to see and dance by. The candles were charmed to change colors with the music, much the way that Muggle lights were done in dance clubs and the like. It added atmosphere without looking gaudy. Here and there were the teachers who were going to be watching over things for the evening, there was a long refreshment table off to one side, and the tables for sitting and relaxing were staged around the dance floor. All in all, a subtly decorated place where students could come in and dance and mingle.

Characters: Leon and Casey

Content: Language Warnings, always Language.
Summary: Leon's cruising relationship advice books for how to break up with someone. So far he hasn't found one that won't end painfully for him- nothing deals with the subject of 'vindictive women'.

In all the books he'd picked up, at least this one was being honest he supposed. It admitted that there was no way to really be nice, and kept suggesting to just be honest. But that didn't really seem like a good idea either. Once the words 'Sorry, I'm gay' passed his lips, he was pretty Addy wouldn't stop at simply transfiguring his head this time around.

Dropping the book down again, he pulled Avery's sunglasses over his eyes again and sighed in resignation as he turned for the door. This was going to end up with him dead, no way out of that one. Maybe he could just...yell it from across the commons. Bellow out- 'we aren't working out!' Then he could run and by the time it hit her, he'd be well out of spell range.

And she couldn't do anything while in class. So the danger zones would be....anytime not in class, or safely in the dorm.

Completely do able. Yeah. Yelling was definitely the best way to do it.

Characters: Vinnie and Casey
Setting: Random Run-in in the Beauregard Common room, Tuesday night

Summary: Vinnie is chasing after his familiar and bumps into a friend

"Dammit Frankie! You get back here right now or I swear, I will never let you listen to Dean Martin again. This time, I totally mean it too, capisce?"

This wasn't the first time that Vinnie's familiar got away on him. Frankie the mouse had a strong tendency to get away from him. Even though Vinnie swore that he put the lock back on the cage, and swore he put a shield charm around the cage too. There was just nothing that this mouse couldn't escape from.

Currently, Frankie's owner was on his hands and knees, going around the common room. Vinnie was looking under every chair, and in every possible hiding place there was. In potted plants, the fireplace, vents, under couches, in the TV stand, behind the bookshelf. he even went so far as to look up and see if there was a mouse-shaped shadow in one of the light fixtures on the ceiling. Unfortunately, he had not had luck yet in finding the furry rodent. Vinnie wanted to find him before one of the girls freaked out. Or Leon did. Sticking his head under the couch, the Italian Beauregard took another look around.

Summary: There's a sock thief about, of course Casey wants to find them.

There was yet another mystery on campus, and Casey didn't like mysteries. He liked to know how things worked, he liked reasons, he liked explanations. He didn't much care for unknown things happening around him. First there were the monsters, now there was a missing sock epidemic.

So, Casey decided to go find what he could fine. His morning started out with a thorough search of the Beauregard common room, kitchens, and laundry room. Other people probably thought he looked a bit silly looking around as intensely as he was, but being thought odd was nothing new.

He found himself outside of the Beauregard dorms after he searched every where he could without it becoming an issue of privacy. Casey glanced at all the other buildings on campus, particularly the dorms, and frowned. He was going to need a better way to find this thing than physically searching around.

Setting: The Van Rensselaer home, NOLA. Tues March 8th

Summary: It's Mardi Gras in NOLA. Naturally someone has to have a party.

Never mind that it was a school night, Quinn wanted a party. She'd been intending to throw one on Mardi Gras and had been working on her uncle for some time to let her have the house. Finally she had won out. Not only did she get permission, but Noah and his wife vacated for the next couple days to allow her the opportunity for the party as well as the clean up. There was plenty of room for people to crash that night before they had to manage to get to class the following day.

The main portion of the house was decorated with all sorts of Mardi Gras decorations. Streamers, masks, draped boas, and other brightly coloured items to mark the festival. Quinn had made sure there was plenty of starting alcohol available, all obtained through a reliable source and none from her own stash. She was sure more people would bring their own to fill it out. Even food was available, though the size of the alcohol table was far larger.

A house elf was aiding the hostess in passing out beads to the male attendees while the hostess herself filled her arm with a bunch to pass out as she made her rounds.

It's Mardi Gras, and it's time to party.

Content: Sunny is practicing quodpot drills on her own when...

It was the perfect weather for practicing drills. It wasn't too hot and it was just cloudy enough to block the heat from the sun but still bright enough to see what she was doing. As soon as classes were done Sunny booked back to her room and changed into her workout clothes and grabbed her broom. It was just too perfect to pass up the opportunity.

The quodpot field was empty so after a quick warm up Sunny started running the solo drills she had been doing all summer to keep in shape. She flew high up and dove back down, holding the quod right. She made quick turns on the field and then tossed the quod hard into the goal. With a satisfied little smile she flew back down to the ground to retrieve her quod.
