Attention Students,

Many cases have been brought to the faculty here that there are cases of missing family members. The AAW has been contacted and Aurors have begun searching efforts in the area.

We advise students to remain cautious while searching off campus, to remain in safe areas away from wooded or swamp areas, and to never search alone.

If anyone comes across any information that may help in the search for the missing individuals, please contact a member of staff immediately.

Have a safe Memorial Day weekend.

ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS
Please be advised that we are not only aware that there is a student missing, but we are actively and immediately doing everything in our power to find him. If anyone has any information that might help us, please inform a member of the faculty immediately, however small you think it might be. Students, we ask that you please do not go off and search by yourselves.

In light of the events that have happened on campus here this week, we have decided to postpone the Parent Weekend until next weekend, beginning on Friday the 20th of May. Your parents have all been informed so that they may make arrangements.

[[OOC: If anyone has anything to say to the faculty, feel free to say it here in a comment, in character.]]

Dear students,

I am sorry to say that there has been a tragic death over spring break. It has been brought to our attention recently that Adelaide Legaux, a senior of Lalaurie House, has committed suicide. A short memorial for Ms. Legaux will be held tonight directly after dinner in the commons.

Our condolences go out to Adelaide's friends and loved ones. The door of our counselling office is open to all who wish to utilize it, and please don't hesitate to do so.

Update to all Students and Faculty [Posted Wednesday evening]
Good evening. I have a few announcements to make:

Now that we have had ample time to do the rituals, spells, and experimentation necessary, we on the faculty and administrative board of Crescent City Institute feel informed enough to make a few things knowns to its student body. The creature that was found in Sonnier, as well as in the woods on our hunt, is now called a 'Darkmantle' for those who were not aware. After careful work, it has been determined that these creatures were some sort of wizard-made hybrid. There is no way for these creatures to have formed in the wild, and since their environment of choice is somewhat limited, we have come to the conclusion that they must have been created somewhere locally. That being said, we appear to have the only two Deathmantles in custody. There have been sightings apparently of some other strange creatures, and we urge anyone who has seen anything out of the ordinary to please come forward and bring that to our attention immediately.

In other news, after some unforeseen delays, even by our Divination department, the CCI Bookstore and Cafe are finally open to the public. The bookstore portion holds not only books, but a fine assortment of standard bookstore fare. We are told that they offer posters and stationary goods, key chains and pens and the like, as well as some imported magical goods and novelties. Please be advised that most novelty and joke wares are not permitted in classrooms.

Thank you, and have a good weekend.

Attention students,

It has been brought to our attention that three students have gone missing. If anyone has any information on the whereabouts of Marie LeFevre, Anthony Smith, and James Rolland please let someone on staff know immediately. Their last known whereabouts were outside near the woods. It has been over a week since they were last seen. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
