Tatum had a few minutes to herself while Frankie had taken off outside for a cigarette. She had considered joining her, but had ended up milling around the refreshment table instead, waiting for her to come back, moving out of the way occasionally for people to get themselves drinks of punch and such.
She felt a little weird, standing by herself and just waiting as she was. Before Frankie, she didn't even consider dances, let alone actual dancing, yet here she was, and they were having a pretty good time. It was always fun to try new things, especially with her girlfriend there along with her.
But now that she was alone, even just for a moment, she was feeling fidgety and awkward. Her eyes scanned the crowd, looking desperately for a familiar face, someone to chat with, even for just a minute or two until Frankie came back. It wasn't long at all until she saw the back of a familiar head, recognizing her sister even at a distance. She immediately left the refreshment area, maneuvering her way around a few dancing couples, until she could grab Sera's shoulder gently from behind.
"Hey, you're here. Should we take a picture for dad or something? I still don't think he believes that I come to this shit," she said quietly, smirking just a touch.
