Summary: Ella saw something creepy at Halloween and has finally ventured out of her room besides going to lessons.


Halloween had been a pretty long time ago now, but Ella's life had been on hold since that night. But not anymore, because she was finally venturing out after class hours. Outside. She'd made a decision that today was the last day of being scared, there was only so many times she could pretend to be sick for cheer practice, time to stop being a wuss. I mean, so what if she saw a cloak floating in the woods, and so what if it had a lot of sharp teeth and so what if some students had gone missing by the woods on that night? It could all still be a prank. Pranks were always played on Halloween. She had been telling herself that more days now, but it didn't explain the uneasy feeling she still had, or the fact that she was carrying a large, heavy book from the library as she settled onto a patch of grass.

The book was one on magical creatures, which she'd been pouring over, trying to find anything that would resemble what she had seen. Nothing had jumped out at her yet, but she still combed over each page obsessively, fiddling with her necklace . At a noise behind her she jumped, cringing away from it before spinning round with her wand drawn to see who (or what) was there.
