With a drink in hand, Keegan made his way out onto Sam's porch. He was nice enough not to smoke inside, whether he was actually allowed to or not. He didn't really feel like asking.

Instead, he set his beer aside to pull his cigarettes from his back pocket. That gift was a handy thing, and so far he found he enjoyed it. Although it'd be more handy where alcohol wasn't already readily accessible.

While he was ready to indulge in two of his favorite vices, his lighter had other plans. A few flicks and it decided that it just didn't want to work. Keegan's attention turned to the remainder of the porch, hoping that someone else was outside. He was lucky, spotting someone a bit away, but enough for them to hear when he asked, "Hey, got a light?"
