"They never really said we couldn't have anybody over. Plus just one person isn't too bad, right? If they get mad, they're just doing it to mess with me," Jenny replied confidently, nodding her head. She was fairly sure that her parents, at least her father, would be a little too sloshed to care anyway. New Years was usually her dad's last day for holiday drinking, and he knocked back like it was going out of style every year.
When Sera spoke, Jenny looked over at her, listening to every word and smiling slowly. "I know what you mean," she murmured, looking just a bit shy. "I really like you too," she added.
