Erica laughed loudly, pouring the brownie batter into her pan, and grabbing up her spatula to begin smoothing it over. "I think I like you, then. I definitely think so. I mean, I'm a pretty big fan of a man with.. spunk, too."
When he questioned her about a boyfriend, the dark-haired girl quickly shook her head. "No sophomore boy," she corrected him. "No boy," she added, after a second thought. "I pretty much do my own thing. Boyfriends are kind of a drag. They get whiny, what can I say? If I wanted emotional, I'd date a girl."
Moving over to check on another bowl, where she had her pizza dough rising, she peered in at it while still speaking to Mal. "What about you? I bet you're just beating the women off with sticks, right?" she joked.
