Jenny had known this would be coming eventually, but she did her best to feign pure confusion. "What do you mean? Nothing's bothering me. I'm fine, just not that hungry," she explained, motioning down to the remaining nuggets in front of her. Maybe she could throw her off the trail, but she highly doubted it. This was Ella, after all, not just anybody. She could probably already tell she was lying.

"Really, I'm fine. I guess I'm just.. thinking about other stuff. Like, school and stuff, I mean. We still haven't done that project. I said I wasn't going to be your partner again if you don't help," she warned, hoping to change the subject if nothing else.
