open to joshua
The past two days Logan had been in the city, having to go back for work, but he explained he needed a few weeks off and he planned on sticking close to the haven in hopes of helping Moon adjust. The fact that Hunter hadn't just given up on the young wolf was promising, and Logan wanted to do whatever he could to help Moon out. Andrew had gone back into the city as well, for the past few days to meet with his parents who were visiting, and that left Joshua alone. Not only had Logan hurried back to see Moon, but he'd also wanted to see Joshua without Andrew hanging around. It was selfish, and pointless, but he couldn't help that he felt a very strong pull to Joshua.

It was early evening when he slipped into the house and out of his shoes and jacket, and when he headed into the living room he paused and was surprised to see Joshua dozing on the couch with not one, but two wolf pups lying right on top of him. For a moment, Logan furrowed his brow and just stared. His senses took a moment to pick up on the fact that the two pups were Julie and Miah, and when he realized it, he reached down to gently touch the top of Julie's head. The white pup looked up at him sleepily and opened his jaws to yawn loudly, and Logan arched a brow in surprise. It was a mini Joshua. It took Logan a moment to realize that Joshua's eyes were open, too, and when he did, Logan drew his hand back sheepishly.

"We're not suppose to shift this young," he said softly. "I mean, Hunter and Austin could, but they're full blooded. I didn't even think this could happen - how did it happen? Are they okay?"

"We're not suppose to have or do anything," Logan said quietly. "It's just that in most cases, that's how things go. But Vaughn and Everett and Jacob don't conform to that standard. Neither do Robin, Sullivan, Haben, or Austin." Though Austin wasn't entirely in on that mix of things, at least as far as Logan could tell. "I know how you feel, though. You don't like the attention I give Moon, and I don't like the attention you give Andrew."

He put his hands on Logan's chest to push him back but he didn't get that far and just rested his palms there. "Then maybe I really do need to just move back to Seattle with Andrew." Because he was pretty sure that the sorcerer wasn't going to allow some sort of foursome arrangement, and it wouldn't feel at all fair. "If Andrew felt like this about someone else, i'd hunt ther person down and tear them in half." He spoke with the utmost honesty, leaning his head back against the house, relaxed enough to let his throat go unprotected, though it certainly wasn't an offering.

When Joshua didn't push him away, Logan didn't move. Normally he'd respect boundaries because that was the type of person that he was, but it was too hard, and right now he was giving in. He dipped his head down and closed his eyes as his cheek pressed against the side of Joshua's, and he let his wolf rise up to the surface. His wolf was calm and had a wise feel about it, and it reached out to Joshua's, wanting to connect desperately.

	Joshua let it happen, allowing Logan's wolf inside to come and chase his own. He sighed with it, leaning forward just a little and letting his lips part with the breath. His own wolf was full of youthful energy and an unbridled sense of power that needed something to teach it. When they connected, it was electric and Joshua couldn't find the will to pull back. 	The second their wolves were connected, Logan felt the overwhelming urge to act on his attraction to the smaller wolf. Joshua was smaller, thinner and almost delicate looking, but he was strong and full of an energy that was impossible to ignore. Logan turned his head and let out a breathy sigh against Joshua's jaw as his hands tightened on the boy's hips. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"I can't do this to Andrew," he said with a whimper. He felt such a deep sense of loyalty and right now he was betraying everything in his brain that distinguished right from wrong. With a herculean effort, he drug back his wolf. It was a show of control that was beyond his years and it forced a cry of pain out of him to do it. "I'm just--I think we should just avoid each otherfrom now on." He hated to say it, and the moment the words left his mouth, he wanted to take them back.

	The moment Logan felt Joshua pull back, he let out a soft noise of pained disappointment. He swallowed hard and let Joshua draw his wolf away, and he did the same. He let his hands loosen against the younger boy's hips before he pulled back and just let go of him. "Fine," he said quietly. "If that's what you want." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Joshua knew himself well enough to anticipate a fight with Andrew, not necessarily because Andrew would be angry, but because Joshua was upset with himself and would start one just to punish himself. Joshua pushed away from the wall and turned his back on Logan as he headed inside. He was ashamed of how cowardly that was, but he couldn't face Logan as he spoke. "Yeah, that's what I want."

	Logan turned and watched him go as he swallowed hard. He felt angry and lost, and he wasn't use to such negative feelings. He slipped into the kitchen after Joshua, but instead of following him he went down to the basement to see Moon. There were only two wolves he felt an intense connection and attraction to, and Moon was the other. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Seeing as how Moon was going to be down there for awhile, Wendell had fixed up the cage as nice as he could. He'd enlisted Jack and Felix to help him drag a better mattress down to rest on the cot, and he'd put up a little privacy curtain around the bed too. At the moment, Moon was looking at a comic book Jack had given to him. The curtain was closed around his bed but when he heard someone come downstairs, he peeked his head out. His skin actually tingled when he saw that it was Logan. "I could smell you," he said, voice still full of surprise at the things his body could do.

Instead of replying, Logan went and fetched the key so that he could unlock the cage. He went and put the key back in its place before he slipped into the little cell and closed the door behind him. He wasn't too worried, he didn't think that Moon would try to run, and if the boy shifted he wouldn't be able to open the door to the cage anyway. Logan just needed to be closer to him, and the bars between them wouldn't do.

He slipped out of his shoes and went over to crawl up onto the bed with the other wolf, and he plucked the comic book away so that he could lay a kiss on Moon's lips.

Moon let out a squeak of surprise at the kiss. But he went from perfectly relaxed to alarmingly turned on in a matter of seconds. He didn't have any time to prepare himself so it was a raw reaction. He'd felt a primitive connection to Logan, and now that he was in a place where his head was clear and he was well-fed, the feeling had grown to a full on crush. Awkwardly, he kissed him back, unable to keep his wolf from clamoring to the surface, shimmering, heated beneath the surface of his skin.

Logan let out a soft groan and let his own wolf push back, partly because he wanted to connect with Moon desperately and partly because he knew that Joshua would feel it upstairs. It wasn't fair, but Logan couldn't help himself. He was hurt and angry at Joshua, and he wanted Joshua to feel it. But soon enough all thoughts of Joshua melted away as the connection with Moon grew, and after a moment Logan broke the kiss and pressed his face against Moon's shoulder.

"Sorry," he breathed softly.

Even through two floors, Joshua could feel the familiar rush of energy over his limbs and he knew immediately what was happening. Instead of sticking around for it, he got a bag together and took off out of the house, slamming the door so hard that it nearly broke off the hinges.

Moon was remarkably unaware of Logan's motives and he shook his head. "Don't be," sorry, he meant. He caught his breath and leaned forward to nuzzle against Logan's chest. He was terribly needy when it came to touch, isolated for so long. His fingers kneaded against the small of Logan's back and he sighed. "Hunter scares the crap out of me, but I want to snuggle with him. Is that normal?" He'd been too embarrassed to ask the man directly about it.

Logan heard the door slam, and he felt momentarily satisfied before the guilt set in. He swallowed hard and lifted a hand and swept his fingers through Moon's hair, enjoying the softness of the boy's unruly locks. It felt good to be close to him, and even better that Moon wanted to be close to him in return.

"Yeah," he answered with a faint smile in response to Moon's question. "He scares you and makes you feel safe all at once sometimes."

Moon leaned into Logan's hand, unable to keep from reacting like a dog getting a very satisfying scritch. Parts of himself had simply melded with the wolf inside of him and they would be difficult to quell. "He'll really kill me if I don't do good. I'm going to be perfect," he said with firey determination. He wanted to live, had a strong drive for it. It had been what kept him alive through the worst of the fever in the beginning.

"I like you though. No one's ever been this nice to me. Well, that guy who asks a million questions is really nice, but not like how you are nice. I don't want to touch him nearly as much as I want to touch you."

	Logan shifted so that he was laying next to Moon, and he let his legs tangle up with the other wolf's. He leaned in and kissed him again, this time it was quick and short. He was relaxed now, no longer so angry. It felt good. "I'm glad you don't want to touch him as much as you want to touch me," he said softly with a grin. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Logan lifted a hand to sweep his fingers across Moon's lips. Moon was just a beautiful as Joshua, but in a different way. He was easier to talk to, and to be with, and Logan missed him while he was away. He scooted in closer with a soft sigh. "You make me forget about the world, and I like it," he said softly. Moon felt so much better to be around his own kind. Knowing what was going on helped him to not feel so afraid at the fact that his body didn't feel like his own sometimes. As a result, he was rapidly gaining back his old personality, the that was vivacious and full of trouble for trouble's sake. He had fire in him and it was easy to see in moments. "The world has too much in it to really forget. Why would you want to do a thing like that?" He sat up and looked down at Logan with a grin. He wanted to be outside so badly, his whole body felt tense with desirous anticipation.

Logan offered a faint shrug of his shoulders. A part of him just wanted to leave, to take Moon and to go somewhere isolated where it was just the two of them, but he was afraid of what Hunter would do. There was no doubt in his mind that Hunter would come for them, and what if he decided to kill Moon because of something Logan had done?

"Sometimes it's nice to not think about anything but one person," he answered as he hooked his ankle around the other boy's. "Maybe after a little bit longer, Hunter will let you out of here and you can really see what being a part of a pack is like."

He'd had a dream about running away from this place with Logan. When he woke up, he'd been terrified that Hunter would somehow find out about the dream and be angry. It made him quake with fear and the wolf inside want to burst forth to defend itself. But right now, if Logan had presented the suggestion, he would have followed him to the ends of the earth. He was desperately infatuated with the other already, hanging everything on him without a worry in the world that he might ever get hurt. It was so easy for Moon to just feel what he felt.

"I do want out of here very bad. It's cramped and I'm used to being outside. Does it bother you that I've probably killed people? It bothers me. Maybe I've made other werewolves too. Hunter says they don't usually survive the fever." He flitted around from emotion to emotion as he felt them.

Logan gently tugged Moon back down to lay with him, and he tucked an arm around the wolf's waist as he wiggled in nice and close. In answer to Moon's question, he shook his head no. It didn't bother him that Moon might have killed people. He hadn't meant to, it wasn't as if he'd planned it. It was tragic, yes, but Logan wasn't about to write Moon off over something he had no control over.

"You're lucky you survived it," he pointed out as his fingertips swept over Moon's forehead. "Do you think it's strange, that you're name is Moon, and you are what you are now?"

Moon easily flopped back down against the other. "It's kind of funny, I suppose. Does the moon make shifts easier?" He didn't quite understand the mechanics of all of it yet. "Really, my mother just wanted a girl to name Luna, but she got me instead and thought the english word would work for a boy's name." His mother was a frivolous woman, wrapped up in being a socialite, but he'd loved her all the same.

	"That moon stuff is mostly myths," Logan said with a half smile, "But there is a pull to it. I mean, sometimes I can feel it. But I think that's just because we can feel a lot of things more strongly than humans," he added as he pressed his hand in against Moon's back.
