To Shiloh (or anyone at the mansion)
Shiloh hadn't called. It wasn't as if it had been a long time, or anything, but Morris was the anxious sort. Had he been imagining the fact that the guy was into him? Maybe that woman he was with didn't want him calling strange men he'd met at the library. Maybe it was the necromancer thing. Or maybe it just hadn't been long enough and he was being obsessive. The later was the most likely, but that didn't keep him from seeking out Bernadette's mansion and going there. He wasn't afraid of vampires in the least, though it wasn't as if he could do much to them. But he was definitely no push over, so he didn't hesitate to head up on the porch.

He eyed the place. It was a large plantation style home that would have looked out of place if it hadn't been in the nicest section of town. Two stories, with a wrap around porch on each layer, pillars made it look grandiose. It bordered on cliche, and he wondered if Bernadette hadn't been human in the south somewhere. He lifted his hand and knocked on the door before noticing a doorbell and ringing that once or twice to get the attention of anyone who might be inside. It was dark, so he figured people would be up and about.

Shiloh's reactions were just too delicious for words. Morris looked away from him, trying to balance himself again. "Yeah, but you haven't seen me yet." Not as much as Morris would have liked. But he wasn't the type to move fast, even though he wanted very much to be that type now. "Does he feed from you? Do anything else?" He held up his hand right after he asked those questions. "Sorry, that's really not my business. I'm assuming way too much just because I'm thinking about it. I mean--not like I'm thinking about you like that--well, I am, but not with him." He was getting flustered again.

"Only once," Shiloh answered, because he saw no reason to lie. Morris wanted to know, and Shiloh wanted to see more of the man so he figured it best to get it all out in the open. "He's much more fixated on Lewis. I think they have a sort of relationship. I think he just wanted me once because I'd never done it before. I don't really remember much of it because he'd fed from me and I was a little out of it."

"That sounds kind of like hurting to me." Morris didn't mince words. He didn't like the idea that someone had taken that first experience from Shiloh. "You'd never--" Morris wasn't exactly experienced himself either so he didn't make a big deal out of it, just nodded with understanding.

The conversation had turned awkward, even more awkward than Morris was used to. "Maybe we should keep walking?"

Maybe Morris had a point. Maybe it was hurting, but Shiloh just felt that it was singing for his supper. All of the humans who stayed in the mansion were there for food, and sex. Shiloh was food, he knew, and he didn't mind it. Mostly just Bernie fed from him lately and he loved her attentions. Slipping off of the pillar, Shiloh went over to where Morris was standing and he took a hold of the man's hand.

"All right," he agreed, his voice soft.

He looked down at the way their hands fit together and he didn't start walking just yet. "I'm saying all the wrong things." He kept staring at their hands, feeling discouraged somehow. This wasn't how he imagined that it would be, but he'd been imagining pretty unlikely scenarios, ones that included himself being terribly suave.

Shiloh lowered his gaze down to follow the length of Morris's gaze, and he smiled softly when he saw that it was their hands the man was looking at. He gave Morris's hand a gentle squeeze before he lifted his gaze back up to focus on his face.

"You're saying all the honest things, an I think those are the right things," he offered simply.

Unable to control the impulse, he tilted his head and kissed Shiloh. His aim was poor though, made awkward by the fact that he was unendingly flustered, so the kiss landed on the corner of Shiloh's mouth and lingered there with the roughness of Morris' scruff.

Shiloh smiled at the kiss, even if the aim was off, that sort of made it all the better. He turned his head so that he could press a full kiss against Morris' mouth, and a hand came up to cup the side of his face. He liked the feel of the older man's scruff, he'd never felt anything like it. Stepping closer, he parted his lips to deepen the kiss. He may have been inexperienced sexually, but he wasn't when it came to kissing, and he knew that he was good at it.

The fact that Morris was so infatuated with this guy amplified the fact that he was such a good kisser. It took the tension out of his shoulders and he slipped his hand up and around the back of Shiloh's neck to rest gently there. When the kiss was finished, he dropped his hand away, still just sort of staring at the other with a dumbfounded expression.

The dumbfounded expression was adorable, and Shiloh smiled softly as he gently tugged at Morris' scruff. "I like this," he said before he let his hand settle against the necromancer's shoulder. "You have soft lips. I like them, too."

Morris shook his head like he didn't believe what he was hearing. "You're unbelievably attractive," he exhaled quietly and reached for Shiloh's hand again and he started them walking once more, heading away from the mansion as if getting farther away from it would make him forget about it.

As they walked, Morris noted a dog trotting along, keeping pace with them across the street. He couldn't see it very well, even under the street lamps, but he knew exactly what it was. The burst of uncontrolled energy from the kiss had probably called it up from the backyard of some suburbian family.

The compliment made Shiloh smile and blush. Compliments always made him blush, but coming from Morris he felt weak in the knees. He let his fingers lace up with the necromancer's as they started to walk along together.

"Thank you, so are you," he replied, not even noticing the dog across the way.

His body tensed, worried that the dog would come closer and Shiloh would be able to see what it was. He was momentarily distracted by the boy's comment though and he glanced over at him. "Really?" He offered a crooked smile at that.

The dog was not going away. It barked happily and trotted across the street, tail wagging. It would have been cute if jaw of the dog hadn't been missing and his tongue wasn't lolling down from his neck. Upon closer inspection, it had been hit by a car, head smashed at awkward angles and the stark white of his scapula peeking through the dirty brown fur. Morris stopped walking and stared down at it as if he'd just been caught doing something wrong and there was the evidence right in front of them. "Oh god, I'm sorry."

"Yeah, really," Shiloh said as he gave Morris' hand a playful tug.

When the dog started to bark and came towards them, Shiloh's attention turned to it and when he saw the state it was in, he furrowed his brow in confusion. It only took a few seconds for him to realize that it must have been Morris, that the necromancer must have called the dog up from the dead unintentionally.

"Oh, it's okay," he said softly, "It's not like you did it on purpose. What are you suppose to do with him?" he asked, "Does he... Want something from you?"

Morris fell easily to defense mechanism and pirsed his lips at Shiloh. "Yeah, he wants me to find his family and tell them it wasn't their fault. I'm like the ghost whisperer." He was on edge a little and his smart mouth rose to defend. Kneeling down, he bid the dog come closer to him. With not mucj more than a mild limp, the dog walked into Morris's outstretched arms and he stood up with it. The dog was far from bloody, but it was covered in the earth of its grave and it smeared onto Morris's shirt. "It was the kiss. My adrenaline."

Shiloh didn't seem to mind Morris' snapping and he knelt down beside the dog, too. He would have pet the thing if it hadn't been so... Well, dead. Instead he stuck close to Morris as they looked at te creature.

"This is all new to me, so I might ask dumb questions," he said softly after a moment.

He held the dog in his arms and gestured with his head for Shiloh to follow him. He knew where the dog had been buried when he concentrated on it and he was going to take it back there. "I'm sorry," he said quietly, realizing that he didn't need to snark at the boy who'd been so nice to him, and so unafraid of what he was. "I'll rebury it and then we can head back."

Shiloh didn't want to head back to the mansion, but he was quiet as he followed after Morris. They made their way into a quite home's backyard, and even through the dark he could see the hole the dog had managed to dig himself up from.

"Kissing me really did this?" he asked quietly after a moment. "What would happen if we slept together?" he added, his cheeks growing warm at the very notion.

"Yes," Morris answered honestly, fighting a blush himself at Shiloh's next question. "Judging from the kiss, I might raise a whole cemetary." Part of his tone was chiding, but he had to wonder what would really happen. "Maybe nothing, since I'll be expecting it now." He wasn't exactly sure how he would broach this subject with Merrin, but he knew it needed addressing. More to the point, he desperately hoped he needed to prepare for something like that happening between them.

Pushing dirt back over the dog, Morris went quiet for a moment. The earth stopped moving as the dog died all over again, falling back into silence.

Shiloh laughed softly, and he bit down on his lower lip to silence himself so that he didn't wake anyone inside of the house. Not that he'd laughed all that loud, but it also seemed like what they were doing didn't need laughing involved. When the earth went still, he just stared for a moment before he reached over and took a hold of Morris' hand again, not caring that it was covered in dirt.

"Would it help if I was a bad kisser?" he asked after a moment, managing a smile.

When Shiloh said adorable things like that, Morris couldn't help but kiss him. He used their interlocked hands as an advantage, tugging Shiloh off balance and catching him with a kiss. He didn't care that they were in someone's backyard, or that they were awkwardly kneeling over some poor zombie dog's grave.

Shiloh's eyes went a little wide, and a soft little 'oof' sound escaped him as he sort of fell against Morris and into the kiss. It was a pleasant surprise, one that made his heart pound, and he wondered if Bernie could hear just a block away. It was probably a silly thought, but he liked to think they were that connected. He kissed Morris back, and one of his hands curled around the fabric of Morris' jacket.

Morris would always be a little awkward. His jumpy starts and stops were at the heart of him. But Shiloh didn't seem to mind. He kept kissing him, trying to disconnect his power that he could feel boiling in his stomach. He wondered if he'd ever be able to just let go with Shiloh; the boy drove him crazy and made him so distracted that he had an almost impossible time curbing the swell of energy that would call the dead to him.

When Morris got a little more aggressive, he tipped Shiloh back so that his butt hit the grass. Just kissing him was amazing. His hand brushed up against Shiloh's cheek, the grit of dirt rubbing over his skin.

Shiloh fell back and let out a soft grunt that was mixed with a moan. He let his fingers grab a hold of Morris' shirt and he tugged him closer. He deepened the kiss and slipped a hand down to grip one of the older man's hips. He was so lost in the kiss that his head felt like it was spinning.

When the light flipped on, Morris almost didn't notice. But it was hard to ignore the rather cross elderly man yelling at them to get off his property or he was going to call the police. Morris pulled back and stood up, lifting Shiloh to his feet as well. He held up his hand to the angry man as if to say he'd been heard and to please stop shouting, but the man would have none of it and he took a step forward to chase them off.
