Where do we go from here? (Open to Batfamily)
Terry sat in the Batcave, in costume, but without his mask on. His mask, he was holding his hands, just staring at it.

Bruce was dead. Bruce had been killed by the same assassin that Terry had stopped from killing Bruce earlier that week, at the business meeting.

He hadn't been there to protect him this time, though. Last time he had been there. Last time he had stopped it.

Damnit. What the hell was he supposed to do now? He blamed himself for not being there when Bruce needed him the most, and he wouldn't hold it against her if Marissa did too.

Terry just continued to sit in the chair in front of the monitor screen, staring at his mask like it held all the answers.

This was the worst year ever for Marissa, though Bruce's murder hit her hard in a different and sharper way than watching her mother murdered had. Marissa had only just found Bruce. They'd just started to develop something of a relationship. She'd started calling him Dad.

Now he was gone. And Mia was dead. And Vicki was dead.

Marissa was already in the Batcave, albeit so fully hidden in shadow that Terry, given his grief, wouldn't notice her. Not at first.

What he'd hear first would be the sobbing.

	Terry got up when he heard the sobbing, leaving his mask on the desk. He walked over to Marissa, sitting down next to her. He simply wrapped his arms around her, stroking her hair soothingly. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"This place is creepy enough with people here. I doubt it'd be any better with no one around." She remained with her head against his shoulder.

"We had just gotten to the point where we weren't spending meals staring each other down. He hugged me. I don't understand why Lady Vic would want Dad dead. He hasn't been Batman for a long time. This is illogical."

She paused.

"We're going after her."

"The two of you have a good idea in mind, but you can't go in without a plan. Otherwise, the League of Assassins will trap and destroy you both." Red Robin says, stepping out of the shadows.

It's been /years/ since he was in the cave, but he remembers the ins and outs like it was yesterday. The first two things that are most conspicuously missing are Bruce...and Alfred.

He'd missed Alfred for years, but after all this time, he never expected to miss Bruce.

Then again, he'd never expected that Bruce would /die/.

"You two are going to need a lot of information and preparation if you're going to go after these people. If you expect to win, you both need to be at your best." he says.

His mask was over on the chair where he had left it. Normally, he would have just retreated into the shadows, so the other guy wouldn't see his face.

But that didn't matter so much anymore.

"Terry McGinnis," he said to Tim, "Batman."

Terry paused, mulling over the day when Lady Vic first attacked in his head.

"Hey, Tim...do you know anything about a Damien Willard and Dynamix Limited?"

Tim lets go of Marissa to lower his own mask and offer a hand.

"Tim Drake. Good to finally meet you. Bruce always had a good instinct about people." Tim says.

Terry's question catches Tim off-guard, but he thinks it over.

"The name isn't completely familiar, but I know Dynamix Limited supplies medical tools to hospitals around the country. The company's got a spotless record and continues to grow annually like clockwork.

Big red flag, there. Describe this Damien Willard." Tim requests, certain he knows who Terry saw.

Terry took the extended hand and shook it, before launching into a description of Damien Willard.

"He said he wanted to form a partnership between Wayne Enterprises and Dynamix," Terry said. "Tall, dark haired, I'm guess foreign, since he spoke with what I want to Arabic accent.

While he looked just about as shocked as the rest of us when Lady Vic crashed in on the meeting, I want to say that his reaction looked a little...staged. Like he expected it or something.

Do you...know him, Tim?"

Tim doesn't say anything for a long moment.

"Damien developed an unhealthy fixation on one of my teammates. I told him she didn't return the sentiment and that he couldn't have her back. He took it poorly." Tim says. It's true from a certain point of view.

"From what we understand, he's Ra's al Ghul's grandson and the new Demon's Head. He controls the League and he's up to something big, but we're not sure of what it is. He's also kidnapped Jai West, but we haven't been able to find him." Tim says.
