Where do we go from here? (Open to Batfamily)
Terry sat in the Batcave, in costume, but without his mask on. His mask, he was holding his hands, just staring at it.

Bruce was dead. Bruce had been killed by the same assassin that Terry had stopped from killing Bruce earlier that week, at the business meeting.

He hadn't been there to protect him this time, though. Last time he had been there. Last time he had stopped it.

Damnit. What the hell was he supposed to do now? He blamed himself for not being there when Bruce needed him the most, and he wouldn't hold it against her if Marissa did too.

Terry just continued to sit in the chair in front of the monitor screen, staring at his mask like it held all the answers.

Maria paced the living room. It was what she did when she was upset and the death of Bruce Wayne, any Bruce Wayne, was upsetting. This wasn't the Bruce Wayne that had raised Maria, but since Maria had arrived here she had bonded with Bruce.

They talked in the morning over coffee and breakfast and in the evenings in the library before bed. Maria enjoyed those talks and had looked forward to them. Now there would be no more.

She wanted to cry and hit someone at the same time, but she paced instead.

Terry came up from the Batcave after talking to Marissa and Tim, giving them some time to be alone. He knew that Marissa was close to Tim, and even though he cared for her, Tim could sure as hell do a better job comforting her than he could. He tired, but he didn't think he was very good at it.

He was still in his costume, his mask in his hand. He hadn't gotten over the shock of Bruce's death, and he still wasn't thinking very straight.

Seeing Maria, he stopped. They didn't know each other very well still, but he knew that this couldn't be easy for her, either.

"Are you...okay?" Of course she wasn't okay. But it was a start.

	Maria jumped at the sudden sound of a voice and turned on heel to see who had spoken. She was a bit surprised to see Terry. Terry as Batman. If she wasn't so upset about Bruce's death it would be more of a shock to her. She looked at him and blinked. Then she shook her head. "I...Bruce. I can't believe it." 	Maria nodded. "Yes. I know it's not the Bruce that I know, but they were so much alike and it affects me like it were my Bruce." "I didn't know him long, but dammit, I was close to him.
