New Year's
The beginning of a New Year, a time for new hopes, new experiences to come. A time to reflect on times past, remembering fond memories happily and trying to put less pleasant thoughts and experiences in the past.

It is a time of renewal, a time of rebirth. And for much of the world, it is a time of celebration. This is no less true for the super hero set as anyone else. If anything, they just have that much bigger of things to look forward to.

"I hate alcohol, really, but you have to build up a tolerance in college or you don't get to do anything fun...or you get taken advantage of by slime bags." Angela says, taking another shot.

"I dated this guy in college who could drink anybody under the table. It was almost like a super-power of its own. He was smart, and sexy, and funny...unless you made him mad.

And god, he was good in bed. I still miss him, sometimes." Angela says.

"I don't know if I'd call it love. We both loved the sex, but...we both had a lot of issues. His dad ran out on him when he was kid and his mom pretty much ignored him for her new family. He was angry, always looking for a fight. He didn't care how big, how many or how often. Rex just liked to fight." Angela says.

"And I've got Mommy issues. We connected over the problems with our parents, but I think we both knew it would never work out, even if I wanted it to. Then he found out I was lying to him and...the bottom fell out. He told me never to come near him or talk to him again." Angela shrugs sadly, taking another drink.

"I saw him again recently with his new girlfriend. I hate that bitch so much." Angie says.

"It's okay to be tempted, so long as you don't give in. Or, you can give in as long as you don't enjoy it. Or you can enjoy it as long as you don't do it again. So, technically, if we only do this once, it's not a bad thing." Angie says.
