Break Out
Keith sat in his cell with restraints and a device on his neck that prevented him from using his sonic scream. They took all of his equipment and locked it away in a safe. His dad was on his way to visit him, which wasn't something Keith looked forward to. Killing the Artist quickly became Keith's biggest regret. He had screwed over not only himself, but his entire family. How was he supposed to make this up to them? He didn't know, and he was just about ready to give up on everything.

Keith looked up, and he was a bit shocked. He shook himself out of it, though.

"Wait, what? Blackgate? Are you kidding me?" To be honest, the reason he was so convincing was because he was really that shocked. Maybe for a different reason, of course. But he was shocked none-the-less.

The police officers opened his cell and dragged him up off the ground. The put extra restraints on him and checked the collar that impeded his sonic scream.

	"Where do you think they send killers? Robert Wells was likely on his way to Arkham. Count your blessings that we aren't having you sent /there/ until your arraignment." Robert says. Robert is going to lead the procession out of the precinct through the back doors, hoping to avoid the reporters massing up front.

There's a transport truck waiting out back, the doors opening to accept Keith. A cop walks up and hands to suitcases to Robert, and Robert nods at him, before looking to the other cops.

"I'm going to ride with the prisoner, make sure she doesn't get loose during transport." Robert says.

	Keith is hurried into the truck and sits down. This isn't an ideal situation for him. He's just glad he hasn't seen his dad yet. He's actually pretty scared of the idea of facing his family. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Robert hops into the back of the van and sits across from Keith, waiting until the door is closed to speak again. "How in the hell did you manage to get caught, man?" he asks, pulling out the keys to start unlocking Keith's handcuffs. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"In case it has to be said, I didn't rat you out." Robert tells him, passing one of the briefcases to Keith.

"Your gear is in there. We're headed to the airport right now to get you out of the country. We're gonna switch cars, and then my contact with the League of Assassins is going to get us to our next destination.

We're figure out the next move from there." Robert says.

	"You didn't need to say it, but thanks anyway." True, there was a moment when Keith thought it was Robert. But how could he continue to think that after all of this? 	Robert, meanwhile, is getting his gear on. "They're exactly what they sound like, Keith. They're also extremely well-connected and were the only /other/ group of people I could call to help out with this." Robert says. 	"I know that Demon, too. He fucked my niece and knocked her up." Generally, Keith described Lian as his niece to get on her nerves. But it had become such a habit that he even started saying it when he was serious. Besides, it had added effect when it said it like that. "I'm going to infer from your tone that you'd have taken help from anyone /but/ the League if you'd had your say in things." Robert says.

"Look, Keith, we just have to get somewhere safe to think. Damien and I have a...complicated relationship. His father raised me when Oliver left me to rot. Damien and I are not best friends, but we share a father for all intents and purposes." Robert says.

"I had to ask one brother to help me save another. I hope you can deal with that. We can at least count on him to keep his word." Robert tells him.

Keith looked to the side. He was still listening, but he didn't like it anymore than before. Damien was not his favorite person in the world. He was far from it. And by the way things were developing, Keith got the feeling that his hatred for Slade Wilson was not shared by his brother.

Things were not turning out well. Keith was being thrust into a world he hated. A world he fought constantly. A world he was beginning to think it brother lived in.

"I guess. But I don't like it."

	Robert does not regret Frank Wells' death, but he is beginning to regret not doing the job himself. Not when he can see how much this is starting to cost Keith. The truck rolls away from the precinct with the Queen brothers in the back. "Did Oliver make it to see you before I got there?" Robert asks, changing the subject. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"...no. Dad didn't come to see me. Nobody did." He was a little glad about that. But he was also a little sad. Maybe nobody wanted to see him? He wouldn't have blamed them. "Star City is across the country, man. I'm sure Oliver would have flown the plane himself to come get you if he could have. Actually, I don't know if he /can/ fly a plane himself, but the thought still stands." Robert says.

"As for everyone else, if they're so willing to write you off without even speaking to you first, that says more of them than you. You did the right thing, Keith. Never let anyone take that from you." he says.

"Provided that we don't get stopped and there are no issues, we should be on a private plane out of this town in about an hour.

Then you can relax, get some real food in you, some sleep before we get to Europe." Robert says.

"We'll meet with our contacts and find out what Damien wants in return for this. We'll also get some cash. I've got you an assumed name made up. Jane, my girlfriend, helped out with that." Robert says.

The thought of Jane causes Robert to fall silent for a moment, before he resolves to put her out of his mind. Keith needs him /right now/, but someday, he'll figure out a way to make this up to Jane.
