Break Out
Keith sat in his cell with restraints and a device on his neck that prevented him from using his sonic scream. They took all of his equipment and locked it away in a safe. His dad was on his way to visit him, which wasn't something Keith looked forward to. Killing the Artist quickly became Keith's biggest regret. He had screwed over not only himself, but his entire family. How was he supposed to make this up to them? He didn't know, and he was just about ready to give up on everything.

	Robert provides Keith with directions to a small flat in a run-down part of London. "Help me out of the car and we can get some food and rest for a few." he says. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Robert chuckles. "What are you talkin' about man? I totally had her right where I wanted her. She was about to tell me her name.

Word of advice, Keith. When a woman is willing to chase you half way around the world to kill you, it means only one thing: she wants to sleep with you first." Robert jokes, trying to keep Keith from worrying.

They get up the stairs to the flat and to the door. Robert knocks and an Asian woman answers the door.

	Keith isn't sure he likes her tone, but she's Robert's mom. She wants to know what happened to her son, and Keith was going to tell her. "He was tricked by the League of Assassins. Morgaine. That little trollop was a rabid dog in the form of a female.

"The only reason that Slade's bastard and his rabid sister lives is because I haven't decided to address the issue. Perhaps I'll get around to it now." Shado says, boiling water and bringing towels.

She comes into the living room, brandishing a knife and slashes her way through his tunic. When she sees the stab wound, she takes two fingers and drives them into the deep wound.

Robert screams as he wakes up.

"Stop crying. This is no worse than the present I gave your for your twelfth birthday. You're getting soft." she says, wiping her hands.

"He will live, Keith. I'm going to treat his wound and let him sleep, and then you will ask me whatever questions you wish to ask.

I will decide whether or not to answer them." she says simply.

	Keith winces as Robert screams. The act itself, and the realization that that is what Robert had to deal with growing up did not make Keith feel very good about Robert's upbringing. But... at least Robert was still a good person. He was somebody Keith could trust, that much was for sure. "It sounds like you already know what I want to ask." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"They're fine," Keith lied. They were a mess, what with all that had been going on. Keith could just imagine the state they were in right now. Mia died, and Keith became a criminal on the run. 	"So you admit he wanted Robert!" Keith exclaimed, having heard 'to take my son' above all else. It upset him that she was trying to make his dad out to be some sort of horrible person. "Your father doesn't get along very well with people who don't espouse his code. I wanted Robert to think for himself and make his own decisions." Shado says.

"Answer me something, Keith. Robert is twenty-three years old. Your father is one of the richest men in the world, possessed of contacts all over the globe. We know he's hunted down men who commit crimes the world over.

Why, in two decades, could he not find his son? I allow that I didn't make it easy, but even after Robert left my care, Oliver still knew of him.

How did you come to meet Robert, Keith? Did Oliver tell you to seek him out?" Shado asks.

"Connor doesn't think like Dad," Keith retorted. "Neither did Mia."

"Maybe he didn't look for him because you did something to make it so he couldn't. It could be the fact that you let Deathstroke The Terminator be a father figure to your son, and then let him join the League of Assassins."

He was clearly not happy with Shado. And her last question... sort of threw him. It made his tone take a step back.

"We, uh... ran into each other the other day..." When Keith killed the Artist.

"Robert did not join the League. That was one of my few conditions in allow Slade to teach him. I did not want Robert molded down that path any more than I wanted him to follow his father's. Robert's path is different from that of other men, Keith.

Just as yours is." she says, watching him closely.

When Keith's answer comes out haltingly, Shado smiles somewhat.

"Interesting. You ran into him the other day and now the two of you are running from the League of Assassins. How did you anger them?" she asks.

What kind of trouble would you be in to warrant Robert beseeching the League? I wonder." Shado says, looking the young man over cautiously.

"I know my son well, Keith. He would not seek aid from others for something he felt he was capable of doing himself.

Does Oliver know where you are?" she asks.

	"It's none of your business," Keith replied. It pretty clearly outlined that Ollie didn't know where Keith was, and the kid didn't trust or like Shado enough to talk about it. (Reply to this)(Parent)
