Paint It Black (JSA)
It was a quiet night in New York City. People went about their business, rushing on the streets to get home, hailing taxis to get out of the brisk winter air. At the JSA Brownstone, all was well and good.

Then something happened. The sound of shattered glass could be heard shattering, and alarm klaxons blared. The team would soon find that Black Lanterns had arrived, and were closing in on the team of heroes.

Hawkgirl manages to dodge Khufu's mace swing, but it's at the cost of Cindy flying backwards. That only serves to piss her off.

"Cindy, stay down!"

Her sharp eyes focus entirely on Khufu.

"Look, loserbird, I don't know who the fuck you are but you sure as shit aren't in any position to determine if I'm a disappointment or to wear my dad's gear so Step. The. Fuck. Off."

She produced a mace from behind the couch (yes, Nic has one stashed there just in case) and goes right for the demented once and never again king.

Nic's attack looks like it's right on target to hit Khufu and do some major damage, but he's still too fast for her.

CLANG!

Her mace impacts against his and Khufu smiles between ruined lips.

"You're fighting to defend that fat little thing and your worthless brother. Give up, child. Death comes for us all. Your father died with your name on his lips.

He begged for mercy at the end. Like a dog." Khufu mocks.

	Nic snorts. "Liar. My father doesn't beg. If you're going to lie, at least lie with your facts straight! I know my father." Undeterred, Nic recovers from the clashing of the maces and goes right for Khufu again. "Also? You're a little fat yourself." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Nic tumbles backwards with a pained cry but is on her feet again quickly. "LEAVE HER ALONE!" The rage is palpable in Nic's voice, as is the love for Cindy as she launches herself at Khufu. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Khufu's mace slams down hard on the spot where Cindy was only seconds before, but he can now sense her love and rage for the girl like a beacon in the dark. When she comes at him, he spins and swings his mace directly at her head, intending to crack her skull open in a single blow. (Reply to this)(Parent)
