Death and Life, or, Henry's Healing Harem
Of course Black Hand would attack Coast City with his latest scheme for world-devastation when Dad and Carol were both out of the galaxy. Thankfully, he did have some backup -- his new Blue Lantern partner was pretty much the only thing keeping Henry alive right now.

Henry hopes that the Guardians can do something to help his arm. Black Hand managed to touch him, and his left arm feels like it's shriveling away, held in check only by his green charge. But it's not time to worry about saving his arm right now. He needs to take Black Hand down, and fast, before he kills any more people.

"Hey, Hand?" Henry snarls. Ava's been keeping him on the ropes for a bit while Henry catches his breath. Black Hand looks up at the Green Lantern. Henry's mind races to think up a pithy line he can deliver.

"Fuck off."

Oh, well. He'll be more pithy next time. He unleashes the full power of his green ring at Black Hand, knocking the zombie flat on his back. "Wrap him up, Ava," he tells his partner. "We need to get him to the Sciencells."

Henry wavers a moment... then collapses, the ring fighting to keep the infection from spreading up his arm. But something must be done, and quickly...

	It's a couple hours later. Pizzas are ordered, food is being consumed, and Henry slips to his room to make a quick phone call. He dials the number for the West household. (Reply to this)(Thread)

	The phone rings once for nearly half a second. He shouts something about getting it, and picks up in the heartbeat after. "West Wing." he says, recognizing the number on the caller ID immediately. "What's up, man?" he asks Henry. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	That was probably the oddest question Henry had asked him recently. "Yeah, some nut job that tried to kill him once upon a time. Cicada's in prison, last I checked. "Whoa, hold on a minute. Let me see if I've got this right." Jai says, hoping that he'd just heard his friend right.

"You invited the son of the guy who tried to kill my dad years ago over to your house for pizza? Did I hear that right?" Jai asks. "The son of a cult-leading psycho who sacrificed and killed people for who knows what reason is at your house having pizza?

You didn't invite him to join the team did you?" Jai asks.

"Of course," Henry replies. "But he's also homeless. The guy needs a place to crash for a while. What do you want me to tell him? 'Hey, thanks for saving me from Black Hand, now go run along and get your dinner from a dumpster and sleep on a park bench in March'? Because his dad killed people, and he wants to try to make a positive difference because of that? What next, we tell all German people, 'Sorry, your grandfather was a Nazi. No help for you'? Come on, man."

"So, if Black Hand's son shows up with pizza, a couple of sodas and a story about what a tough life he's had, you're going to just consider it all's well that ends okay because he's trying?

"You could have taken him to a shelter or something, man. You don't have to have to adopt the guy and invite him into the team, Henry. There are resources and help for the homeless." Jai says.

	Dammit. He was hoping for Jai to be reasonable. He ponders. Iris doesn't need a call -- she'll be all for believing Josh is on the right side.
