Showdown in Brazil
The helicopter carrying the members of the Suicide Squad, Damien Wilson, Morgaine King, and Slade Wilson made closed in on its target. The League of Assassins Compound in the Amazon Rainforest in Brazil. The helicopter bore the appearance of one the helicopters that the League used frequently, so they would be able to get in without much hassle.

The pilot informed Damien that they would be touching down in ten minutes, and the assembled group looked to him for briefing.

She was serious.

After everything they'd been through, that they'd done together...after getting pregnant with his children, she was going to walk away from him. Lian was going to go back home, taking his children for good...and she was going back to be with /him/.

Damien had never felt so defeated in his life. What had all of this been for, if she was just going to leave him in the end?

He stands up, ignoring the pain and the rupturing of his stiches as he turns and plants himself in his chair at his desk.

"Then I cannot keep you here." Damien says quietly, looking away from Lian.

"This is clearly what you desire. Please go, Lian. My sister and your uncle will take you back to America." Damien says, feeling the warmth of his blood sleep from the bandages of his stomach wound.

"The Atlantean will hurt you and our children through his magic someday, Lian. On that day, you will see him as he truly is, and you will think of me." Damien tells her.

"I do love you, Damien," Lian said. "I always will. But I can't...I can't do this anymore. I really am sorry."

Lian went to leave, and for a moment, it seemed like she was going to turn around and take it all back. She paused, her hand on the doorway, standing there as her shoulders began to shake.

Lian wiped tears from her eyes, before shaking her head and leaving the room to go find the Suicide Squad.

She had to do this. She had to leave him. There was no other choice.

	Damien considers pushing himself out of his chair and running after her. Begging her to take him back and swearing to leave the League if she will. But there is no point to it. She will always want to leave and he is done placating her. He lets her go, watching his last hopes for a normal life leave with her. (Reply to this)(Parent)
