Making an Entrance (Open to anyone in Gotham with Money)
It was the night of the annual Gotham Natural History Museum Gala for Charity. Which hasn’t been attack by super villains for two years a new record. All the big movers and shakers in Gotham were there and the amount of money being raised for charity and to keep the museum running was surprising.

Marissa was sent with reasons two-fold. The first was that she was Bruce Wayne's daughter and it was "important" for her to show up for events. The second that a two year streak of no villainy didn't mean those who keep watch could just stop watching. Marissa wasn't the primary--Batman was always the primary--but she had a costume nearby just in case. She arrived to the usual fanfare a public event held, but as she made her rounds all she really wanted was a drink and a familiar face.

Kord money wasn't exactly Wayne money, but it was hardly anything to sneeze at, and in the years since his marriage, the Kords had been a Gotham fixture. Which meant attending all manner of functions.

Which, frankly, meant Dinah was bored out of her mind. She'd much rather be spending time with Riley, smacking some super-villain around, or doing code.

She spotted Marissa and made her way over. "Hey," she said.

Maria had come with Terry after Dana turned him down flat. Okay, Dana didn't turn him down flat, she was busy and couldn't go. Still, she had been teasing Terry all night that Dana turned him down flat. When she realized that Terry was going to stand off to the side and be Mr. Grumpypants all night, Maria went to mingle. This was a party after all.

Maria had on a nice little black dress, a pair of two inch heels and a smile for every guy she passed. It didn't take long for her to gather a small group of men around her and to have them laughing. She knew what to do at these things. She had been going to them with her Uncle Bruce since he adopted her.

They each asked her out and she gladly collected telephone numbers to call them at a later time. The small pieces of paper were slipped into her cleavage and the owner was given a wink and smile. Glasses of champagne were pressed into her had at random intervals and she happily sipped at the bubbly while she talked.

She excused herself to go check on her "date", who still had a scowl on his face.

"This is supposed to be a party. You could pretend to be having a good time," she said to him.

The worst apart about being Bruce's assistant? Being made to go these lame classy functions. He hated these. He didn't fit in, and he had the urge to yell "FIRE!"...or something.

He was wearing his suit under his tux, his mask was in the pocket inside his coat, and was praying to god that the Jokerz would decide to crash so he could do something entertaining.

He downed the glass of champagne that he had like it was a shot.

"I am having a good time," he said, scowl still intact.

Marcus had fought criminals for a while now and he had to say he really didn’t like these guys. Racist pieces of trash. They were up to something and he planned on beating what exactly that was out of them.

That was tell they turned things around on him and got the drop on him. Granted he knew he could still win not problem and get the information he wanted it just was going to be a bit harder, fight across rooftops and all that fun stuff.

He had to admit it was kind of funnier with them putting up a fight like this they weren’t bad and pretty well coordinated.

He hadn’t really been paying attention to where the fight had taken him when he tackled a guy through a skylight, clocking him over the head with his gun and kneeing him in the groin as the well.

Landing in a roll to deal with the worst of the fall he found himself in some sort of party with the other guys on their way down to continue the fight.

	Marissa was about to say something further to Dinah about drinking when someone came crashing through the skylight, fighting. The punch Marissa had been drinking was discarded and she grabbed Dinah's hand. "I'm going to assume you came prepared," she said as she hurried her towards a supply closet. Marcus put away his guns while giving the guy he had fallen in with a hard kick to the ribs. There was too many people here . He was a good shot but he couldn't take chances with what would happen if he missed in the crowd.

Marcus grabbed his knife and charged at one of the guys who had just made it down. He also threw a small blade at one of the ropes that a guy was still repelling down. It wouldn't take him out but it would still hurt.

	Maria aimed a kick at a guy's head. He stumbled back and Maria grabbed the section of pipe out of his hand. She spun on a heel and delivered a blow with the pipe to another guy's arm. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
