She Loves You
The Darkstar's ship arrived to chaos. A Thanagarian war-cruiser was in orbit around the Rannian colony would and what few defensive ships the Rannians had been able to field had already been blasted to scrap. The real fighting was going on on the surface and sky of the world, Rannian-soldiers in rocket packs dueling with Thanagarians on the wing.

All this, the Darkstars could see from the bridge of their ship.

"By the triple-suns..." Aleea breathed.

Alerron looked about the chaos with a critical eye. From what he understood, the Rannians and Thanagarians had been warring back and forth for quite sometime.

This, however, was warfare and it seemed the Thanagarians were the aggressors.

"Yeoman, open a channel to the Thanagarians. Let us see if we can get them to stop this madness before it has to go any further." Alerron says.

	The Thanagarian warships were locked in battle with the Rannian defenses, exchanging blasts of fire. If someone was inclined to listen in on comm traffic, they might hear, every now and then, snippets that sounded like "For the Lady!", "For her Love!", and the like. (Reply to this)(Thread)

	The bolt struck home, knocking the gun out of position, but others were rotating around, trying to get firing solutions. A voice rang out over the comm, now that they had the frequency, thanks to Aleeron's broadcast. "In the name of our Lady... you shall die!" (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The blasts demolished the guns and in one case, sending a gunner tumbling into the void. Shock and fear replaced rage. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	On the planet, what soldiers remained to defend the colony were streaks of red and white in the sky, their rocket packs little match for the natural flight of the Thanagarian invaders. But they would fight. It was what they did. (Reply to this)(Thread)

Aleea appeared in the sky in a flash of golden light, carried from space by her short-range Zeta Beamer.

She was instantly ready for action, her own ray-gun firing the second she can see clearly. The ray-blast sets a Thanagarian's wing on fire and sends him screaming out of the sky.

She activated his helmet's communication system. "This is Aleea Strange to all Rannian forces. We're here to help. Give me a sit-rep."

	Thanagarians were tough, of this there was no doubt, but they were no match for a Daxamite-Tamaraean. Aleea's own report comes from someone still on the ground. "They came out of nowhere! They were after the crystals! They fight like fanatics...!" (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Alerron slows long enough to make a call to the Normandy, asking them to open a channel to the Thanagarians.

"My name is Alerron Yat of the Normandy, member of the Cerberus fleet. Your attack on the people of Rann is unjust and without provocation.

Cease your offensive and we will allow you to discuss your grievances in a neutral forum. But if you continue your attack, I will make it my personal mission to destroy your entire fleet and take any survivors into custody.

You have three minutes to weigh this offer. If your attacks continue, I will take that as your answer and respond accordingly." Alerron says.

A small number of the Thanagarian ships had escaped Alerron's wrath, managing to get away with some of the Zeta Beam crystals. And, of course, they did have a prisoner they could interrogate.

The Darkstars gathered to debrief.

"Anyone have any idea what that "Lady" nonsense they kept spouting was about?" Aleea asked. "I mean, I'm not exactly up on Thanagarian religion, but..."
