The Seas of Chaos
Koryak stood near the new shoreline of Atlantis and looked out across the water. He was tired, they all were, but the rebuilding of Atlantis was coming along at a pace no one had expected. The Atlanteans were a resourceful people and rebuilding their homes and city wasn't just rebuilding the physical, it was rebuilding their sense of identity.

Koryak had watched his father and Queen Mera work as hard as every other citizen when it came to doing things, if not harder. Koryak was right there beside them working to do as much as he could. There were a few missing faces, most notably Cait and Cerdian's. Koryak didn't blame them. He thought it was unfair that Arthur was trying to force them to marry. He was proud his sister stood up to their father and she left to do her own thing.

Koryak turned back toward the city.

The water behind him erupted into spray and figures emerged and came up on the island.

Koryak turned to face the invaders. "Raise the alarm!" he yelled before he was attacked.

	A short distance from where Moray emerged, another form rose out of the ocean. This one at first looked human, but with keratin scales and a extra pair of arms ending in crablike pincers. Snap didn't bother with a loud pronouncement. His actions would put more fear into the Atlanteans than any words would. (Reply to this)(Thread)

	Rather than charging head-on, with uncanny accuracy, Snap claws swiped at and deflected as many of the spears as could get. Others simply bounced off his shell. He continued his slow, determined march forward, waiting to get within distance of the female warriors. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"Haliai! Go for the joints and gaps in his shell," Cordia yelled and she tried to drive a spear point into a joint. The other Haliai heard their commander and started aiming for joints with spears and swords. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Snap's reflexes and coordination were amazing for such a large, brutish seeming figure as he snatched and parried the variou shots to his joints. He caught Cordia's spear in his claw and looked at her coldy. Finally he decided to speak. "A good strategy, though in the end you simply don't have the tools to win." With a screech and surprising swiftness, Snap went for a backhand strike with his free claw to Cordia's face.

	The claw raked across Cordia's face and left a bloody gash, but it wouldn't stop the commander of the Haliai. She brought her sword around and aimed for the thing's armpit. While Snap was distracted, the other Haliai tried to drive spears and swords into the thing's joints. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The sword made it's mark in Snap's armpit. He screeched in pain before bringing his other claw down on it in an attempt to break the blade. Seeing the female warriors coming at him, Snap turns his back, exposing his hard shell to block the attacks. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Cordia's blade snapped, but she pulled another one free from its scabbard on her back. The other Haliai kept up their attack. They attacked in pairs of two, lunging in for a strike and then getting out of the way for another pair to come in. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Like Moray, Snap changed his tactics. Rather than remain relatively still, Snap put his enhanced speed and precision to use. Rather than bothering to block, depending on his shell to protect him, Snap unleashed a barrage of strikes from his serrated pincers. He didn't focus on anyone in particular, but rather mixed it up. A strike at one, quickly strike another, and repeat, keeping his motions erratic to confuse his opponents. Only he would know where his pincers would strike next. And when they did, he intended for them to be bloody.

	Green Lantern Dex arrived and did a quick survey of the scene below. There were a lot of small fights going on, but he noticed a group of female warriors fighting some crab like thing. Dex smiled and formed a giant green hand to grab ol' Crabby. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	If Snap's eyes weren't perched on eyestalks, he likely wouldn't have seen the hand coming. However.. "Damn it! Earlier than expected." Snap raises his pincers in an axehandle like formation, and brings them down on the contruct. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The pincers snapped down on the construct, but they didn't dissipate it or harm it. "Oh fuck this," Dex said and made a huge boot. He used it to kick Snap. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"Oh that's just stupid," was what Snap began to say before the attack sent him careening into the sea. He sunk a bit before shaking his head and looking up through the water. He decided to lay low for the moment. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
