Under the moon and over the sand (Zach and Ash)
It is late at night. Like any modern day city time does not stop in Cairo just because the sun has gone down. The moon is out and the streets are still busy. But as it is quickly approaching two in the morning things die down.

A spell is cast by an unknown person and across the world it wakes two others up. Somehow across an ocean they feel it. One of them feels an urgency in her blood to go to where the magic is. She dresses quickly in the dark and starts to cast a spell.

She doesn't think to bring back up. The magic tells her she has to act quickly. And so she goes and finds herself an ocean away from her friends in front of the Egyptian Antiquities museum. She can feel the pulse of dark magic and shivers in the warm night air.

This is dangerous. But she casts another spell to fool the security system and goes inside. Magic is buzzing in her mind and she continues to search for where this dark tainted pulse is coming from.

She is going to stop it.

"Mmm. T-Thanks. Took m-me a lot to get that just right," she said with a slight smile.

"It took me a great deal of time to.... well. I have a lot of spells that I know. And I... I'm very careful to not stray too far into what's considered dark by my people. We know well the price of foolishness after all." And because of her hair being blond she had been reminded of that more often that most.

"It was very impressive. Your own design?" Zach inquires about the spell.

He props his head up on a hand as he gestures with the other one. "Don't get me wrong, I know there's lines not to cross, but I think the whole 'black magic' and 'white magic' business is a lot of hooey. You can use healing spells to make someone's heart work itself to death, or necromancy to keep death at bay while you close an artery.

Magic is a glorious and wonderful thing, but it's a tool or a weapon like any other. Who uses it, and how they use it, are what defines it as good or bad." He tucks in on some eel.

"Not exactly. It was a combination of several well known Atlantean banishing spells. They are millenia old and so they're... rather strong. Because of the power they evoke and the strong subconscious ties they have to the Old Ways," Ash said in a soft tone while poking at her food.

"Hm. Where does the banishing output to?"

He grimaced as he remembered the fallout with that demi-urge whose domain he'd been dumping things into with his room-cleaning spell when he was younger. That had taken some sweet-talk by Zee and Uncle John to clear up.

"This one sent them back to where they belong. Truly. Th-There's no need to kill something just because it's different. Also much less messier than killing them." Ash informed with with a nervous smile.

Zach nods. "Nice work, kid." He pats her on the back, then smiles to himself, as if he knows something.

She blinked at him curiously. "Th-thank you? M-M-most might wonder why I had pi-pity for something th-that ate a sentient lifeform."

He winks. "Check your pockets."

She'll eventually find a pair of front row any-event passes for Zach's performances.

She does then blinks slowly.

"Strange. But.... thank you."

She never had gone to a show on the surface before. This could be interesting.
