Riley stirred, laying on his side, face buried in his lover's hair. Something wasn't right though.. he felt hazy, and the hair smelled faintly of... salt? His eyes opened slowly, his field of vision filled with blue.

Cait slipped her hand in Ty's as they exited the building where they lived. The San Francisco night air was cool and a blanket of fog had settled over the city. The streets were mostly empty despite the early hour. People were home with their friends and loved one as was typical on Christmas Eve.

Tonight was set aside for time with Ty. Tomorrow there would be time to spend with her family (not looking forward to Arthur and Ty being in close quarters) and the Titans. Tonight it was the time for a Christmas tradition. The Ice Princess had to be save from the Ice Dragon by her dashing Knight.

"I'm glad we get to do this," Cait said. Being dead last year made it a little difficult to do last year. Cait couldn't express in words how glad she was that they could do this and what it meant to her.

Finally Chicago had enough snow to actually use for some fun. Deciding to have a bit of fun for once, Harry teleports up to the roof (more privacy from the general public) for a change of scenery. He's there for a bit, starting on a superhero snowman when he wonders if he should get some of the others to come join in, maybe for a good old fashioned snowball fight. He makes a snowball just to test out the snow and picks an easy target to lob it at, the door to the rooftop.

Unfortunately his snowball gets there just as the door opens.

 Max was in his lab, as was often the case. It wasn't that he was antisocial, there was just little of interest to him beyond the room. He didn't dislike his teammates, but honestly didn't really understand them either. So, in his mind, staying where he was was probably the best call.

"Okay, seriously?" Dinah asked.  "We've been teammates for how long now, and this is the first time?"

She set the board in-between the two of them, laying out pieces. 

"Why the sudden urge to play chess?  And why me?  I always thought me and Ri kinda bugged ya."
