Island Life
The island was nice enough, a tropical climate. Ganthet had brought them to the beach there, and began his instruction.

"Consider, if you will, the different emotional entities, how they are paired, and from where they arise," Ganthet began.

"Rage and Love, for example, are emotions that are directed towards something. You feel love for your companion, or rage at those who have wronged you. They sit the farthest from the center of Will that is at the core of the Emotional Spectrum, because they are emotions of passion, here in one moment, gone in the next, difficult to sustain and yet able to consume one if left to flicker and burn for too long by themselves.

"Greed and Compassion, move closer to the center, and act as more intrinsic emotions. Greed is a desire for more, never satisfied with what you have, always seeking to possess and control more. Compassion is the empathy for the suffering of others, the understanding of other viewpoints and situations, feeling for them and seeking to mend them. These emotions exist more solidly, more states of being that flare-ups of passion.

"Fear and Hope just left and right of center, are different in that while those are emotions that may be felt, as the Emotional Spectrum understands them, they are emotions that can be caused in others. The Fears that claw at us in the dark, the Hope that tomorrow will be better. Those who wield the Lights of Fear and Hope are beacons of these emotions, fanning the flames of those emotions around them. They know them, and how to wield them to best effect.

"Willpower stands at the center, and stands alone. It is the ability to overcome fear, to turn hope into action. It is the ability to fight to make compassion a reality and to resist greed's temptations. It is the ability to temper the fires of rage and the passions of love with the need for clarity and reality. Though my brothers are wrong in ignoring the other Lights, they were correct when we believed that the Light of Willpower has the potential to be the strongest of them all."

He looked them over. "To know your Light is to know yourself. Think, and search within you. What about you drew your Light to you?"

	Harry stares in shock at the impaled Ganthet but Cindy's words snap him out of it. "Um uh however many are in contact with me. But uh how far? I can get back to HQ but shouldn't we stay for..." He didn't quite feel comfortable leaving Ganthet plus... "I don't know anything about the island so I shouldn't teleport too far from where I can see." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Fear. That deep seated fear is there, even in this huge form Andy has taken. The being that had so much power was impaled in front of them. "LEAVE LENNY ALONE!" 	Saishu is less worried about flames than most others, and feels a need to get attention off the group. She draws her off-hand blade as well, and leaps at the nearest attacker. "Save Ganthet, be ready to go! I buy time!" she calls back to the others. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Lenny focused his powers of healing on trying to remove the spear while at the same time not causing more damage. He didn't like the little blue dwarf, but he didn't want him to die either.

"We've been stuck with this and you're the only one that seems to know anything," Lenny said, gritting his teeth from the effort of moving the spear out bit by bit while healing the damaged tissue. "You don't get to die, they need you!"

Lenny's Blue power, power once harnessed by Ganthet himself along with his Green power, is enough for the Guardian to dislodge the energy spear from his body. He would heal, of this he was certain, but his life meant little right now compared to that of his charges.

"I know, Leonard," he said between breaths. "I shall... stall them. You must get to safety."

He lifted into the air unsteadily. "Controllers," he said, flatly. "You have no business here. Be gone."

	One of the Controllers sniffed disdainfully. "Pathetic Guardian bluster. Always you have tried to deny us power, too afraid that our methods might prove you and yours inferior. 	The Effigy under attack by Andy threw up a wall of flame between them, while the other tumbled from the sky under Saishu's attack. The others sought containment, throwing a wall of fire around the others. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Harry nods and gulps as Cindy counts down. Two...one...and now! On cue, the usual bright flash of indigo light goes off to indicate it's teleporting time. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	One of the other Controllers was watching this, and acted. He fired a blast of power at the exact moment Harry was teleporting. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

The controller gets a direct hit and Harry cries out more from the surprise of getting hit than any pain. Despite his concentration gone and the blast of power somehow messing up what he'd already started, the teleport goes through. Except not exactly as planned.

Harry hits the sand with a thud at the other end of the teleport and looks around in a panic. Where were the others?! Oh no, what had he done?
