New Guardians... GUARD (Okay, we really need a better battle cry)
By locking on to Saishu again, Heather had been able to lead Andy and Lenny to Cindy, Harry, Jess, and Saishu. With the flying members carrying the non-fliers, they made their way back to the beach. Because, in the face of all logic, Ganthet was still there and who knew what the Controllers were doing to him.

As they came in from the air, it turned out to be fairly bad. Strung up by his arms and legs by Effigy flames, one of the Controllers--there were only two of them remaining now--blasted him with bolts of cosmic energy. His red cloak was singed, his blue skin blackened in places. And he was screaming.

"Uh... plan?" Heather asked.

Harry doesn't say anything as Lenny talks, letting the two have their moment and leaving Lenny to work. He's still got Ganthet in his arms and while he would normally give Lenny extra charge, he refrained for the moment in case he needed to teleport them out again while the fight was going on.

When he sees the retreat Cindy caused Harry can't help the relieved smile. He'd been right, Cindy could do it. Her plans always worked. It made him feel a bit better about everything that was happening. Not a huge amount, but right now any little bit was a help.

	And as soon as Ganthet is adequately healed, "Ganthet. Home, p--" she bites her tongue. She only uses that word in three situations: absolute necessity, contempt, and Saishu. This is not the first or the third, and she's trying not to make it the second, considering who this guy is and that he tried to do right by them. "Take us home." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Once he was able to float under his own power, Ganthet nodded. "Of course, Miss Lord." With a wave of his hand, he called up a stream of green power and brought the New Guardians back to their home. 	"I can help with out stuff if we need it," Jess offers. "I know how to train for just general physical fitness. I was going pretty hard when it came to that. Cindy looks over at Heather.

"That's not happening next time," she says.

It's not soothing. Not words of comfort or assurance. It's a statement of fact, and that's all.

And then she does look at her girlfriend. "Saishu, we need to talk. You're our greatest asset, and I know you know how to draw fire like nobody's business -- but we don't know how to make use of that opportunity. So we have to communicate more. And yes, I'd really appreciate your help with the training." Beat. "Within reason."

Normally the way such a statement was made would make him nervous. The almost 'laying down the law' tone always had the potential to be problematic if someone disagreed. But this time it doesn't make him nervous. Because this is Cindy. The Woman with the Plans That Worked.

If she said something, it was going to happen. And in this case...he'd really really like it to.

This, Ganthet was beginning to realize, was one of the most formidable humans he had ever encountered. Perhaps one of the most formidable beings, period.

Cindy Lord would be quite the guardian for these young people.

He paused, briefly, to generate a small sphere out of green power and handed it to Cindy. "Use this to contact me if you should need me in the meantime. But with the Controllers now active again... and my own recuperation... I have much to do. I wish you all well until then."

And with that, he was gone.
