Bat Family Dinner (Thomas, Damian, Dinah, Janie, Marcus)
Bruce threw a curve ball, he was quite fond of them, and decided to set up a Bat Family dinner. He did this once in awhile and Maria dreaded them like a root canal. Even though she never had a root canal. Most of the time they were normal dinners, but there had been a few that would always be remembered in the annals of the Bat Family history.

Just to torment the Squirt, Maria told Damian that dinner was in costume. Of course it wasn't, but she wanted to see if he'd fall for it.

Maria hummed happily as she made her way to the dining room.

"Well the first costume was a joke," Thomas shoots back as the group finally (in his opinion) starts to make its way to the dining room.

In the meantime, Mr. Paws had been examining the new people and had determined he didn't particularly care about any of them one way or another at the moment. Unless they sat on his favourite cushion, then they'd be on the receiving end of kitten bat-glares.

"No, he was one of two strays we ran into in between dealing with the Jokerz. She didn't think her team would have two kittens, apparently the gruff guy on her team likes cats, and Mr. Paws liked me so I took him," Thomas corrected with a frown because her version made it sound like this was some girl that liked him or vice versa. So not the case.

"But yes, Pippi. The one with the chainsaw."

	"She was insistent that bats were birds," he deadpanned. "I doubt it's a joke on her part though. She means well enough just...has odd priorities and ways of looking at things." 	He really is that bad too. Something about how he reacts to everything is a bit stiff. Guy just doesn't seem to relax all that much. Not a bad thing for him but other people tend to tone down the intensity a little. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Dinah had never even bothered to enter the contest for most serious, and she was happier that way. That's why she'd been Scarab (and later, Blue Beetle) rather than Batgirl. Not that she didn't honor the dedication of the Bat-family... but "brooding secret keeper" just wasn't her style.

"Yeah," Dinah said. "Has he earned a spot with the adults? Cause I dunno..."
