Meme: "Finger-Trap"
Max was carefully working on a concept for one of the defenses he was hired to create for the New Guardians' headquarters. He had a prototype set up, but it was a far cry from what he had been trying to make. Still, it was interesting enough not to discard completely. So he set it aside on the lab table while he worked on the next version.

"Okay, so the Flight Ring is 30th century tech, but the basic principles behind it are pretty similar to Nth Metal. It's designed to alter gravity in a specific area. It runs on willpower. You could theoretically, use enough willpower to expand the anti-gravity field enough that it might negate any energy discharge."
