The Calm Before the Storm (Open)
Maria finished up the report she was working on and shut down her computer. Another day working at Wayne Enterprise was over. It was time to go grab a bite to eat and then down the costume. Night was coming to Gotham and that meant its criminal element would come out. Maria grabbed her purse and coat and headed out of the building.

The amusement doesn't leave. With another, less self-assured man, this would be more fun. But it's been entertaining enough anyway. "Mmm, no she wouldn't have told you," he chuckled slightly. "Not exactly topics to encourage when meeting...people you don't find boring." He smirked slightly and then took his time putting the menu on the side before explaining.

"Family."

	"And he actually admits it," Maria said and pinched his cheek after coming back to the table. Their order was in and now they just had to wait. Maria slid into her chair. He usually just stuck with 'family' because cousins wasn't quite accurate but alternate universe uncle was even odder.

"In the city or the area in general?" Because the guy was clearly from farther away than the next city over. "Surprising move though."

"Gotham is an interesting choice of an east coast base for most, unless they have specific business in Gotham itself. Property prices are high despite everything."
