Maria's Beautiful Mess
Maria was too tired to head back to Wayne Manor and decided to spend the night at her apartment. She had been doing it quite frequently lately. When she entered the apartment she even didn't bother with turning on the lights. She didn't need to see the mess that was her apartment. It would just remind her how much of a slob she was and it was the last thing she needed right now.

Once the door was locked she headed for the bedroom, stripping off her Huntress costume as she moved and letting it fall to the floor. She just wanted to fall into bed and sleep. Thankfully tomorrow was Sunday and she didn't have to get up to go into the office. It'd be nice to get more than a few hours of sleep.

She tripped over a few things as she walked and kicked them out of the way. Once in the bedroom she grabbed a tee shirt hanging on the corner of a full length mirror, slipped it on and fell into bed.

Tomas gets a bit of a feel for the place. He can't navigate in the dark room as readily, not being as familiar with the place. He gets the idea readily enough though.

He lets her get to bed, just helping out if she shows signs of needing it, then retreats back to the main room -- then spends a few hours cleaning. By nature, he's organized. Granted, its easier with the spartan existence he leads, but still - everything has its place.

When she wakes up, it'll still be a mess, but the worst of it is tidied, the dishes are done, and there'll be coffee going, and a Tomas asleep on the couch.

Maria woke and stumbled to the kitchen for coffee, but there was a lot less stumbling than normal. It didn't register in her sleep clouded brain that someone had actually cleaned a little or that the someone was asleep on her couch. Thank goodness the Keurig brewed coffee quickly and it wasn't until after the first few sips that things started to register.

Oh Hell.

She brewed another cup of coffee and headed over to the couch. She nudged his leg with a knee.

	"Sounds like a deal to me." he responds, before another sip of coffee. He has no plans to go for any kind of commitment. At the Diner

Maria sat in the booth across from Tomas at Ruby's Diner a few blocks from her apartment. A plate of pancakes, homefries, bacon and french toast sat in front of her and she happily worked on eating all of it. A pot of coffee sat on the table between them. They had worked up quite an appetite and she was still feeling the afterglow.

It had been wild, rough and uncontrolled; all the things she liked when it came to sex. There were invocations to deities, confessions of feelings (which she would blame on the heat of the moment if asked about them) and she'd probably be sporting some bruises later.

"They make the best food here," Maria said between bites of food.

He doesn't ask about any of those confessions. Really, its best that way. He still has his own share of bruises from the rough encounter - just how they both like it. He also has quite the appetite, judging by the plates in front of him, with biscuits and gravy, sausage, a four egg omelette and a stack of pancakes, plus the coffee.

"I'm noticing that. Get over here often?"

"You know what's in my fridge," she said, not embarrassed in the least. Mom and Alfred taught her to cook and she could cook rather well, but it was a lot of effort especially for one person. Maria would rather spend her energies elsewhere.

"A mouse would starve. I know how to cook, but I practically live on takeout and diner food. Besides, it's open all night which helps when it's four am and you're starving after a night of patrol. What about you? What do you do for regular meals?"

	"We eat on the road a lot. When we settle into one place for any length of time, my adopted sister does a lot of the cooking. She... has improved a lot in that skillset in the last few years. "I can understand that," she said. A day job at Wayne Enterprises and her night job as Huntress didn't leave much time for other things and cooking wasn't high on her priority list.

"Maybe one day I'll have food in my fridge when you come over and we'll cook something."

She drained her coffee cup and refilled it from the carafe on the table. Caffeine was one of the major food groups.
