Break out!
Black Mask stood a good distance away from Arkham Asylum for the Criminal Insane. The bitter cold didn't seem to bother him as he stood there. He had been out in the cold for some time, but he was going see the conclusion of his work. It had take quite some time to make the preparations. He had sent messages inside to the inmates, making them an offer. If they chose to accept it, they'd meet him here. If they didn't, well he didn't care where they went. Even those would serve a purpose.

The night was rocked by the sound of explosions as large parts of the building's walls exploded outward.

Black Mask smiled as fire and smoke filled the night.

The inmates of the asylum started escaping out into the night. Including the Joker.

	Of all the weeks to visit Gotham... Richie ducks into an alleyway to get his 'costume' in place again. Really, all he'd been trying to do was go out to buy an electric kettle. He was slowly but surely getting used to living out of his backpack. It was just a reasonably large backpack now. (Reply to this)(Thread)

	Okay, not to profile, but that guy definitely looked like a supervillain. Richie manages to sprint along, keeping him in sight, before pulling a discus from his pack and hurling it, trying to take him out at the knees. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Jacob knew the discus was coming and leaped into the air a split second before it would have hit him. He jumped high into the air and headed for the next rooftop. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	...well that wasn't supposed to happen. Richie didn't miss... not unless something more than he could tell was going on. Using another sprint to get the running start he needs, eh jumps to a fire escape and hurries up to the rooftop. With less space between him and the bad guy, he throws another discus, chasing after it with a left hook ready as well. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Jacob looked back and saw that he was being followed. He put on a burst of speed and leaped across the thirty foot opening between the building and the next one just before the discus would have hit him. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Speed in a straight line? Now that, Richie can do. He pours it on, the world turning to smears of color around him, as he closes in on the escapee. He actually catches up with the discus he himself threw, snatching it as he approaches. "Stop right there!" (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Richie can't react as fast as a 'real' speedster, and all he can do is shift one way. He takes the blade in the shoulder, and spasms in pain. The convulsing sends him off his feet, and he hurtles like a cannonball at Jacob. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
