Break out!
Black Mask stood a good distance away from Arkham Asylum for the Criminal Insane. The bitter cold didn't seem to bother him as he stood there. He had been out in the cold for some time, but he was going see the conclusion of his work. It had take quite some time to make the preparations. He had sent messages inside to the inmates, making them an offer. If they chose to accept it, they'd meet him here. If they didn't, well he didn't care where they went. Even those would serve a purpose.

The night was rocked by the sound of explosions as large parts of the building's walls exploded outward.

Black Mask smiled as fire and smoke filled the night.

The inmates of the asylum started escaping out into the night. Including the Joker.

	Firefly raises an arm, unable to get away from this grapnel, as it wraps around. A blast of flame, then a climb as fast as his jetpack can take him. "Let's see how well the Bat flies, shall we?!" He streaks towards part of the asylum, then sharply changes course, trying to whip his foe into it. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Underneath the mask, Thomas smirked slightly. In his old costume this would be more problematic but in the new one? The bat could fly rather well. Streamlined plus glider wings helped him keep some control as Firefly tried whipping him around.

Because that wasn't going to be lasting long. He hit a button on the grapnel launcher and soon he was reeling himself quickly in, using the momentum from that and the wild flying to swing into kicking the man mid-air once he got pulled in close enough.

	The kick connects solidly, and Firefly is distracted enough that he cuts off the flame thrower momentarily. An attempt to fight back results in both of them getting tangled in the line. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Thomas doesn't actually mind the tangling right now, because it also means this Firefly won't be flying well for long. He manages to get a batarang out to jam the man's flight pack. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The thing about villain gear that gets confiscated? It doesn't get maintained. The flight pack emits a small explosion as the fuel supply gets ruptured, and the two go spiraling down, Firefly shrieking in panic. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Good, to be expected. The classic spikes off the forearms in the Batman suit were more than just for show this time, he clicked a control near the palm of his hand to activate the buzz saw ability (small version really), and slice through the line.

He was still a bit tangled with Firefly but that was good for now, as long as his arms were free he could fire off another line, and managed to catch a lightpost to swing from and prevent a fall. Fun thing was that it loosened the old line as it did so and once that was done he could disengage from firefly while snapping some cuffs on him.

	Fast, efficient, and a good enough warmup. That left him free to dive back into the arkham chaos and get more of this under control. (Reply to this)(Parent)
