Green + Green + Blue = Space pirates?
".. No, seriously. He knows who you are." says Avalon as he and Henry fly along the coast of California, doing their usual maneuvers and training.

"He's really cool though, I think that you're going to like him.. you might even know him - he acted like he knew you." he then goes on to say, "He picked up on who you were when I introduced myself - guess the name Jordan really gets around more than I realized.." he then teases a bit, glancing over to his partner as he smirks.

"Then again, you know so many people that I can't keep up sometimes!"

He gives Alex a hug/handshake in return as his own mask wills away. "Damn, man! It's good to know you've got a ring! This... didn't come badly, did it? Your granddad is still alright, right?"

He glances to Avalon. "When the Guardians tried to tame all magic, they trapped it all in a stone called the Starheart, dyed green by the Guardians' will to control it. A piece of this stone ended up on Earth like... a hundred years ago, and back in the 40s, Alex's granddad turned it into a ring and called himself the Green Lantern. He's never been a member of the Corps, but he's been a great ally and mentor to my dad over the years."

	Alex grins. "Naw, Gramps is alive and well. He gave it to me. Just pissed my Dads off," he laughs a bit. He lets Henry explain the Starheart and nods. "My Aunt Jade has Starheart powers too but she doesn't use a ring to access them. They're internalized," he says. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Alex grins and strikes a little pose. "Oh it's cool alright. Just like me," he declares with a smirk. The ring-slinger snickers when Ava mentions cruising. "Cruising? So you two have an open thing going on?" he teases, gesturing at both other lanterns.

When Henry corrects things, Alex rolls his eyes and wills the mask back. "Sure, let's got for a spin out in space."

	Avalon instantly turns red, though it's obvious that he has no idea what the other two are teasing him about. "Uhm.. okay..?" he then says with a questioning tilt to his voice, and then goes to follow along with the guys as they all lift up towards space. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Flying alongside the others, he smiles. "Well you know me. I was gonna do the hero thing powers or not. Gramps said he's been thinking about it since I was younger and got caught up in that fight at the Brownstone with the Injustice Society and I helped beat that tiger woman. So he recharged up the ring and passed it on to me last year. I've been training with it in secret since. Just debuted as the JSA's new Green Lantern a couple months ago."

"Is my translator messing up again?" asks Avalon as he frowns at his ring. He's still not completely sure that the thing functions right all the time - it seems to have a distinct problem with translating correctly for Green Lanterns.

Alex's comment though adds to the heat in Avalon's face, and he just gives an uncomfortable little clearing of his throat and flashes a sheepish smile as he brings himself up and comes to hang in a respectable orbit level.

	Henry notices the flush, but decides not to mess with Ava more at the moment. He's already uncomfortable. "Just... connotations, Ava," Henry explains to him. "And didn't Dad One start when he was like barely 18 himself? And then there's Dad 2's connections to vigilantism..." He scoffs. "Totally unfair. Glad your granddad told them off." Alex backs off on poking at Avalon as well. He doesn't want to make the cute guy blush himself to death after all.

"Younger actually," Alex remarks. "And yeah," he says. "Wasn't just Gramps. Buncha the old timers talked to 'em. Dunno what they said cause they pushed me outta the room but they came out later and said it was good to go as long as I took a year to train first," he remarks. "I know they're just worried about me but still...safer with the ring."

Avalon's anxiety seems to pass when Henry explains to him what he's missing. After a few moments, he's grinning and totally relaxed, the whole thing having rolled off him like water off a duck's back.

Spreading his wings a bit, he sighs as he listens to the story, his smile happy for Alex. "Only a year of training? I don't know what's worse - that taking so long, or having to go on a Hunt."

"It's.. ah.. a bit complicated." replies Avalon with a bit of a laugh. "And it's not something I'm wholly sure that I'm even ready for - my own father just keeps trying to get me to do it. But on Starhaven, you have a rite of passage that's called the Great Hunt.. In the simplest of terms, you go off into the wilderness and slay the largest predator in Starhaven's skies."

"This rite is the most important, Henry. The last time I spoke with him, he wanted you and Lifeforce to take it with me." replies Avalon. He then glances to Alex and says "A giant winged flying reptile called Feartail. They have a wingspan of about thirty Earth feet, and bring death from above."

He spirals out to one side, then grins as he says "Indigo and Lifeforce are great people, too bad they're not here for you to meet them.."
