A night at the opera
Lian made her way to where she was to meet Damien to take the private jet to the opera in Dubai. For someone who normally didn't care what she looked like, Lian had certainly put in a lot of time and effort making sure that she'd looked Just Right. Her hair was in an updo, with a few curled strands out in front. She hadn't painted herself, but she'd put on more makeup than she normally did. She wore a long black dress, just nice enough for the occasion.

It was all a part of the mission. Him being a good kisser was just an extra bonus.

She entered where she was supposed to meet him.

She smiled at him, walking over to him.

	"Good. I will need you to go and handle something in my name, as Morgaine is otherwise engaged." Damien says. 	"What do you need me to do?" Lian asked. "I shall try to take care of it as quickly as possible, so you can have your way with me when I return," she said. "One of my...associates feels that it is acceptable to steal from me. Now, I do not mind a bit of unreported skimming; these things happen in our line of work." Damien says, looking up the ceiling of the tent.

"What I find unacceptable is when the skimming results in a loss of profit, which affects the people below him. That is a reflection upon me, as an employer, when people are not being paid in full and on time. That causes people seek employment elsewhere and leads to instability.

I would like you to recover my money, Lian." Damien tells her, turning on his side and looking into her eyes.

"And if my associate proves recalcitrant, kill him and anyone who objects." he says, as easily as if he's asking for her to hand him the book he was reading earlier.

"Please, hear me out before you judge her." Damien says.

"Morgaine /is/ a hard woman to know. Everything I was given in life, she was denied, except for education and training. She was not shown love, or courtesy or respect, except by me. That had the unintended effect of her resenting me for giving her what even our own mother denied her.

Still, Morgaine is my sister and I love her beyond measure." Damien says. "She is truly the only person who has /always/ stood by me, no matter what.

Beloved, I would take it as a personal favor if you would at least try, for me, to get along with her. I do not want my two favorite people to be at odds with each other." Damien says quietly, remembering the abuses heaped on Morgaine to humble her. If he had known the power he wielded then, he would have stopped all of them from hurting her.

He's been trying to make up for it ever since. If nothing else, perhaps he can give his sister a true friend.
