The inner workings of madness
Lian had been in the workout room when Damien called her, saying that he had something important to show her.

After jumping in the shower and changing quickly, she made her way to the lab where he asked her to meet him.

"Once you've procured him, make your way to our forward base in Africa. I'll join you as soon as I'm able, Beloved. I have business to deal with elsewhere and I'll need to take a personal hand in things." Damien tells her.

Rarely, if ever, did he attend to many of his business matters himself, but dealing with the Batman required his direct attention...as did completion of his foremost goal.

"My people will have worked out who this blur his within the next day, Beloved. Perhaps it will be easier to take him at his home among his family...or in a place he would least expect to be attacked." Damien offers.

"Whatever you must do, do it and bring him to me, and I will show you the future."

"Excellent, my Beloved." Damien says, kissing her forehead.

"I must make preparations for my trip, but I was hoping we could have dinner this evening. Will you be available?" he asks.

"Then I look forward to keeping your mind and body occupied for as long as I can before my departure, Beloved." Damien says.

He has finally decided if he will go through with the idea he's had for the last week or so and decides that he will call his mother to him to bear witness.
