The inner workings of madness
Lian had been in the workout room when Damien called her, saying that he had something important to show her.

After jumping in the shower and changing quickly, she made her way to the lab where he asked her to meet him.

"Well, at least he hasn't /completely/ lost his touch." Damien chuckles, reaching out to stroke Lian's knee.

"Have you spoken to Morgaine, Mother? She found her father's killer and dispatched him. Father will not approve of that, but Robert had to prove himself worthy somehow. If Morgaine could kill him, then he wasn't truly worthy to be offered membership to the League." Damien says of his adopted brother.

"Shado has not been seen in several months, however. I would not put it past the old woman to be looking into news of her son's death. If she comes looking in our direction, I will bear the brunt of Father's wrath for dealing with her, too." Damien says.

"He places too much emphasis on his rivalry with Oliver Queen." Damien observes, sipping his wine.

	Damien smiles at Lian. "You're so very considerate." Then he looks back to his mother. "In other news, the machine is nearly ready. 	"Mother, we've only just wed. Children are something we'll discuss in due time, once the world is as we need it to be." Damien says. Of course, the idea of children with Lian is one that excites him beyond words. He hopes, deep in his heart, that Lian will soon tell him that she's expecting. Damien takes her hand as though he can feel her tense up. He squeezes her hand in a very gentle show of strength, love and support, even as he keeps his eye on his mother.

"Duly noted and acknowledged, Mother." Damien smiles.

If they have a son, he will be named Alexander. Damien has already decided this.

Presently, the food arrives, lobster and steak along with asparagus and butter sauce.

"Perfect timing." Damien says, waiting for the ladies to serve themselves.

	"The legacy of the Demon's Head is something that has been in our family for generations," Talia said. "And I would hate to see it die." 	For now, Talia would just observe how Lian was around her son. While the young woman seemed like a strong-willed person, she didn't seem like she'd give Damien much trouble. "Everything is wonderful, my son." Talia said in-between eating. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
