In the desert between time
As with so many others before them, the new entrants to this non-time and non-place find themselves falling, starting some twenty feet off the ground, and heading quickly towards the sand below, regardless where they were or what they were doing before the shift.

"Well, there's a lot of dimensional physics and complicated math involved. The gist is - all dimensions are interconnected. The timestream runs through all of them. Usually, there's enough of a barrier from one dimension and another to keep the actions in one from affecting others, aside from the occasional dimensional refugee or traveler. However, a big, big disturbance has happened. It started in one dimension, and sent ripples through the timestream. Every world those ripples touch, they change.

Things are happening in all those worlds that shouldn't be happening. The past is being altered in ways that, before this effect, never happened. This has caused those worlds' present to be different as well.

Each and every one of your worlds was in the way of the ripples, and your personal timelines have been altered. Each of you is, in some way, so essential to your home universe that you had a modicum of protection from having your memories altered, or the other effects of the disruption. I was able to grab you and bring all of you here before that protection broke down entirely, and you were lost.

As of right now, everything, and everyone you think you remember are lies. Your worlds are not what you recall. Now, I can send any of you home, all you have to do is ask. If that happens, you will quickly remember your world as it has become, and I wouldn't be able to draw you out again."

"We'll go through this, bit by bit, so you have some idea what's at stake. I believe most of you are familiar with a version of Meggan. In her world, she never got out of the internment camp... the guards got a little trigger happy. I'm afraid, if you don't succeed, you're dead and buried in your world."

"Eventually, all too likely. Now then, the way to fix your worlds... you'll be sent to other worlds hit by the ripples. Each time one is repaired, the local timeline restabilized, the worlds nearest it also become a little more stable. Eventually, if enough worlds are fixed, yours may become stable enough to send you home. The girl with the large hammer, who you will be meeting soon, has a tool called the Tallus. It will give you some information on each new world, and how to go about fixing it. Unfortunately, its occasionally a touch... vague."

	The Timebroker repeats much of the situation for the newcomer, explaining that her world's time is still broken - thanks to Dormammu and Dracula, but the Exiles have salvaged it enough that she was able to be pulled free - in hopes of further repairing the timestream.
