I've been through the desert...
One moment she felt her lips on Anya's. It was a dream and nightmare come true, each in their own ways. The Talus sent a jolt up her arm, and suddenly instead of everything she'd gotten so used to, and the feel of her best friend and crush next to her, she felt warm wind, and a bright light made her shield her eyes against a scorching sun.

She knew right where she was. Back in the desert where everything had gone so horribly wrong. Even as alike as most deserts ended up, she somehow just knew.

Sarah sinks into the sand, drawing her knees up to her chest and settling her head on her knees, trying to collect her thoughts, trying hard not to cry, trying to be pulled together when someone else showed up.

The Timebroker can wait.

"No, its not. Anything could have happened. It told me that the temporal shielding on Galactus' ship interfered with our intended jump. Nothing in the last year was supposed to have happened."
She glances at Rose. "Rose Knight-Rand, this is Bucky Barnes. Bucky, this is Rose Knight-Rand, either a native of the world I spent the last year in, or another version of her. I'm guessing the names would be familiar to you?"

"They're good people on my world. I've worked with them a couple of times," Bucky nods. "They're both friends to the Avengers."

"Rose is good people too. Rose, I'm really sorry you're here. I'd get you home if I could, but so far, we haven't actually seen anyone get home. I guess I can hope some of the others got back to their universes though."

"It's okay Sarah. I'll just do my best," her lips twitch into a smirk. "And I had no idea what I wanted to do after high school. I think the universe or multiverse likes to find irony in everything."

She shrugs and glances around them. "At least we know we can work together. As long as we keep hope alive and can help people I'm okay with being here."

She isn't though. She's angry but refuses to let it out right now. The first person she can hit though will be the way she releases her anger on the multiverse. The bigger the better.
