It was really called Skuttlebutt?

Kev boarded the Korbinite ship  -- Korbinites? Not something he knew about -- and wondered what on Earth he was going to be able to do.

They were going to be looking for someone called the Grandmaster. Not a Family Story. So he wasn't really sure.

Kevin hopes that'll help a little. They don't need to delay the mindless ones much more. AFter all, they're almost to the gem.

The part of the maze started to rumble and a moment later the ceiling started to fall.

Behind them the mindless ones continued to follow.

Bill poured on the speed. He could likely survive the collapse of the maze, but Kev would not.

Kev reaches down and grabs it.

And there's an odd sensation. He's suddenly very...aware of Bill's mind. Of other minds in the distance. The way he used to be aware of other people's energy signatures.

With a big difference. This is a form of power, yes, and some aspects feel a little like that power, but...

"It doesn't hurt," he mutters.

Bill gives Kev a curious glance, but does not question his comrade. Instead, he looks upward.

"Grandmaster! We have beaten your challenge and your maze!"
